Merry Day After Christmas!!!

Wow. Yesterday was incredible. Bringing Tyler down the stairs to see the pile of presents Santa left him was awesome. He looked over at the tree and saw his battery powered Go Kart and ran right over, got in and started driving it around the house. Santa was very good to Tyler, he brought him a video game to learn with on the tv, a go kart, a bubble mower, a book that helps you learn to read, and his grandmama and poppi got him a 5 piece drum kit. He LOVES it and makes the cutest face when he hits the drums with the sticks. The little guy actually has really good timing. He got a ton of other stuff too, and I'll let Candace list all the rest (along with a pict), I just wanted to get on here and mention the great time we had and how generous everyone was to our little guy.

Tyler is talking so clear now and says so many new words. He knows yes and no, he asks for juice and most foods by name, he knows car, bike, motorcycle, lawnmower, Pablo, Elmo, drum, and all the others we've mentioned in the past. Talking to him now is actually like talking to a little guy and no longer like talking to a baby who doesn't comprehend what you are saying. Tonight he brought over his boot and said "boot". I said "do you want daddy to put it on your foot?" He said "yes". I said "well go over and get your other boot and daddy will put them on for you.' He went right over and grabbed the other one and brought it to me. I said "hop up on the couch and daddy will put them on you". Dang if he didn't climb up on the couch and hold his foot out. It was soooo cool....

Tyler gave me a St. Christopher (his middle name) medal to wear around my neck when I go riding on my motorcycle. It says, "To My Daddy. Be safe. I love you. Love Tyler".

I love it.

Its almost Christmas!!!

So!!! December is flying by and Christmas is less than a week away! What a MONTH! Ty is growing so fast before our very eyes. I want to bottle this time up so I can save it forever. His cuddles with his little head on my chest, his hugs and how he blows kisses, his little jibber jabber, his impersonations...the Donald Duck voice, the mickey mouse voice, Santa's HO Ho Hoooo, how he gets so excited when he sees Christmas lights. Tim and I like to drive around and show him and out car is filled with squeals, "WOWs" and "Cooool!" We have been working on "Time-Out" which I tried a few months ago...some of you might remember, it was FILLED with Ty's laughter. He didn't get the whole "punishment" thing. So we are trying again. He listens most of the time, but his toddler curousity is getting the best of him. Hence the re-decorating of out Christmas tree...as all of the ornaments are making their way to the top section. He LOVES to climb now, even more than before...as he gets to the top, he says "Get down" (almost in a disco jive sort of way) but really he is echoing the words that we keep telling him. So yesterday I did the whole "count to three" bit...I said "0ne, two..." Tyler goes "freeee!!!" Yeah, needless to say, biting my lip once again as he is the funniest little guy in the world.

At his 18 month check up...
Ty is 34 inches (75-90th percentile) and 29 lbs, 7 oz (90th percentile)

I love my little gent so much. Sorry we have not been up on pictures and video...times are BUSY BUSY BUSY...as I am sure everyone can relate.

In case I don't get back here before next week...Have a beautiful holiday and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Congratulations to my cousin Stacey and Troy as them welcome our newest sweet cousin Owen Christopher yesterday!!! We cannot wait to meet him!!!

Candace

Happy December!!!

We have been so busy! Tyler and I have been Christmas shopping like crazy...he is such a trooper. We went to a Christmas Bazaar today...Santa was there. Ty was so shy, he was not to fond of the real deal. haha He LOVES Santa...just not up close and personal. haha

Ty has started to really pick up words. Since this is his blog, Daddy and I are thinking of all his new words...hmmm, lets see...Santa, Ho Ho Ho, Ru (for Rudolph), fren fry (thats a new one today, we were out to lunch with his grandma and Auntie...and he wanted something, and he was signing more and pointing. I was trying to guess, and he finally goes 'fren fry'. It was so clear...such a funny little guy..., apple, bops (for Doodlebops), Moe, DeeDee, Mickey, Casey (our dogs), he calls
me MaMa now...and it is the sweetest sound. He still loves to look at his Daddy's 'coolcool' for Motorcycle, Car, Moon, tree (tee), Juice, ka-ker (cracker), WOW (but like Woooow!!!), Pluto, Donald Duck, Ball, Chicken, Boat, Choo Choo, Book, Doggy, Kitty, Go, Poppy, Auntie, lovey, ahhahhh (for gentle), teeth, ...He is singing along to songs...It is wild to watch him pick up things so fast. He LOVES his books. He will sit there for the longest time, and just look through the pages, he will speak is baby language, and throw in a word or two...like his book that has apples in it, he will act like he is reading and just throw the word apple into the mix.

Ty is LOVING his new buddies, Gus, Conner, Joshua, Leeza...We are getting ready for our big Christmas party!

I am really enjoying being Tyler's Mom. I am so blessed and lucky...honored really, to be able to wake up each day and share my life with him. His little soul is wrapped so tightly around my heart, I can't imagine what life was like without him.

May you all enjoy the holiday season...can you believe it is December already!!!

Candace

Whoa!!!

Is it me or is time FLYING!!! Thanksgiving is over ALREADY!!!

Halloween was great. We spent it will Ty's cousins Ellie and Adam. We had a little Halloween Party with his Mom-Mom, Poppy, Auntie and Aunt Erin. We had a great time.

Ty has met some great new friends Gus, Joshua, Conner and Leeza. We have playdates every Tuesday and meet them every Thursday for the story/music time. His friends have some pretty awesome Moms too. We always have such a great time.

Tyler amazes us everyday. It is hard to imagine him this little teeny tiny baby. He has this adorable little personality and just cracks us up. He LOVES music. Last night, Ty and I played on his music instruments for close to an hour. He LOVES his guitar (gi-gar), and drums (duh). His favorite words lately have been CAR- which sounds like he has a Boston accent with CAH, Boat, Choo, Choo, and motorcycle (cool or coolcool). tim took him to the motorcycle store yesterday and he said it was so cute. He was saying coolcool over and over and got so excited. He listens sooo well to NO now. He does not laugh at me much when I tell him NO now. I must admit, I was scared. I thought the supernanny was coming. haha He listens so well. I know it may not last, but I am thrilled now! He does not like to hear NO though and gets this stern little look on his face, but most of the time he will stop. He LOVES to play Hide and Seek. He is getting crafty with his new hiding spots now. He will stay there till you find him. He used to hide in the same two spots, but now he is under tables, in his tent, behind the couch. He loves to do motions to songs. He can do the whole 'Itsy, Bitsy, Spider" and we are working on "Head Shoulders, Knees Toes" "Quack, Wuack, Quack"...he loves singing along too. Sooo cute! He loves to read which makes Mommy very happy. We read all the time and when I am finihed he will read it to me. The Ty chatter is so much more interesting. ;)

So now we are getting ready for Santa. WOW! Turkey Day is officially over (When we ask Ty what a Turkey says, he says 'gockle') and Santa, he gives a big Ho, HO, Hoooo...love it. Anyway, I hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving. Be safe!!!

Love,
C

Time is FLYING...

It's hard to believe that Tyler is almost 17 months. He is going to be Pablo from the Backyardigans for Halloween and he is SO adorable in his little costume. He is talking up a storm and is so smart. When we tell him lets go bye byes, he runs and gets his shoes so we can put them on him and goes and stands by the door and says "go, go". He gets mad if we don't go immediately, so we have to be careful not to get his hopes up too soon before we are ready to leave. ha ha. He is talking jibberish like you wouldn't believe. He even throws in words he knows into the jibberish. He'll be like blah blah blah blah GO blah blah blah YES blah blah. It's really cute. He uses his hands while he is talking and expresses himself with them the whole time. He knows when we say get Woody and Buzz or get Pablo or get Eunequa, he'll run over and grab those stuffed toys and bring them over. He also knows the difference between a blue ball and a green ball and is learning so fast.

I keep saying it over and over, but I can't imagine my life before him. He is a blessing and I am so proud and happy to have him in our lives.

Holy Pumpkins Batman!!!

Hello Hello!!!

Hope everyone is well! It is October 16th ALREADY! Can you believe it! Tyler turned 16 months old as of Oct. 8th. We have had a blast taking our little guy all over. We went to Weber's Farm last weekend and Huber's Farm this weekend to pick out a pumpkin. He tried to lift one up and it was too heavy for him (I have it on video) so he opted for two baby baby pumpkins. He carried them all around, it was so cute. He is just the cutest little guy.

He is soooo lovable. He gives lots of hugs and kisses. He blows kisses with a BIG MWAHHH! I just love it! He has been saying all sorts of new words. The newest ones are "Banana" (and the sign for it) and "Get it!" It goes with a fun game he plays with his Daddy... He loves to "GO" "More" "Fan" "Doggy" Kitty" "Moo" "Car" "Woof" "Quack, Quack", Pablo (Pa-Bo) -(from the Backyardigans), "Yeah, Yeah", Doodlebops - sounds like "Dibizz",...I can't think of anymore right now, but I book I read said to write the new words down everyday...it said how amazing it is for the amount of learning that happens now. He LOVES to have full blown conversations in jibberish, so FUNNY...using his hands to explain...Needless to say, we are entertained!

There are a TON of new pictures that will be springing up in the next few days...AND VIDEO!!! I know it has been forever, and yes I found my charger, so we are back in business.

Happy Monday!!!

Love to all!

Whew!!! Gotta catch up!!

We know, we know...we are so behind on the pictures! I think we missed a month! We have had a busy month that ended with a beautiful wedding! My brother and new sister were married on Sept. 30th. Tim, Ty and I were in the wedding too. Tyler was adorable in his little tux. We were worried about him walking down the aisle. He did so well. He held Emilee's hand and he walked down with the biggest smile on his face. (It was as if he knew how wonderful this day was.) I was so proud of my little guy. Aunt Deb and Uncle Eli took such wonderful care of him during the wedding. Ty was quite the little dancer and LOVED the band. He stood right in front of them and danced...Uncle Todd came up to me and said, "Wow, he has rhythm...he is moving in time with the music!" It was precious.

More updates to come along with a TON of pictures! I am just getting used to the new mac laptop.

MWAH!

Love to all!

Happy Wedding!!!

What an awesome little personality...

Tyler is such a happy little guy. He laughs at everything, he tries to make us laugh and when we do laugh, he keeps doing what he is doing and gets a huge kick out of it. He wore one of these wigs (see pic) around Toys R' Us the entire time we were there (we go every Friday when daddy gets home from work) because Candace and I were laughing at him the whole time. We bought him a new Jeep Stroller (jogging stroller) and it has a little steering wheel on it. He loves to be in a car with a steering wheel. The morning he saw it he went running over to it and I put him in and he was steering. After a few minutes of sitting still he looked up at me and said "daddy GO!" I was like WHAT!?!?!? So after the shock wore off, I started pushing him around the room and he loved it. He also likes it when Candace takes him grocery shopping because she puts him in one of those cool little carts that look like a race car so he can steer while she is going around the store.

Candace has been taking him to the park every day and he loves to just run and play and have fun. He is definitely all boy. He loves getting dirty and rough housing and is still pretty fearless.

We've got Uncle Jordo's and Aunt Megan's wedding this weekend. We'll post picts of our little guy in a tux sometime next week.

oh and we still haven't decided if we are gonna cut those curls off or not. :)

Love to all

WOW...15 months ALREADY

Hey all~

Been a while, I know, I know...We have been so busy getting ready for Uncle Jordo and Aunt Megs wedding. We did get together with Ty's friend Talia and her cool parents Dave and Theresa. It was so awesome to see the two of them play. Stay tuned for pictures! My computer (my new macbook Tim bought me for my birthday) is already broken, but it will be fixed soon. :)

At Ty's 15 month Dr. appt. He did really well. The Dr. was so impressed with our little guy. He is in the 90% for height and between the 75th and 90th for weight.

Ty has turned into a little daredevil. He climbs like a monkey on everything. We have to watch him constantly...and keep up. He has so much energy.

He is definitely a performer! Friday night, my parents came over...Tyler picked up his drums and brought them over in front of his grandparents. He started playing them and dancing...then he hit the one drum that plays reggae music and he stood up and started dancing. It was so cute.

He has a funny sense of humor. Ty loves to make us laugh. We went to Toys R Us and they had a yellow plastic wig...we put it on him and I started laughing and he kept it on with this silly face. He gets a kick out of cracking us up. He makes the cutest little silly faces too. We really have the best time. We laugh all day...UNTIL..haha the new temper tantrums. They are actually kind of funny. He gets so mad. We are working through it...he works it out.

Oh, and discovering his vocal chords! HAHA When we are in a restaurant, he does this lovely yell. Can't wait till that phase passes. haha

He has become quite the little artist. He loves to color and does not try to eat the crayons as much. He finger paints and loves getting all messy. He helps me in the kitchen when I cook dinner. He stirs away in his little bowl. It is neat to watch him discover new things. He watches everything we do. He tried to put on my shoes, he tried to help Talia put on her shoes, he tried to put my headband on today...he is so funny.

He is really doing well with his signs. We do new ones every day. He recently mastered 'juice'. He really gets this look of satisfaction when signs what he wants and we understand. His vocabulary is really expanding everyday. He loves to say 'Dude'...so cute.

Alrighty, I better get some rest. Look for some new pictures in the next week!

Love to all!

Candace

Congratulations to Uncle Joe and Aunt Dawn who just got married today!!!

Ty

Do I have to cut his hair??

I cannot bear to cut these sweet little curls! Sigh...

So yesterday we went to Dutch Wonderland with Auntie Alexis, Aunt Erin, and Ty's cousins Ellie and Adam. We had so much fun. Tyler LOVED his first big boy rides! I was so suprised. We went on the Choo choo train first...He was so excited, he kicked and squealed in delight. He loved when the engine whistle blew. He got so excited! It is amazing to watch him be amazed at everything. We went on the Merry Go Round next. He loved sitting on the horse. Legs were kicking away as it went up and down and all around. He loved it so much, we stayed on for another go round...Ellie and Adam loved it too! We then went on the speedway, you know the ride where you push the gas and steer along the track. He actually steered! He LOVED IT! He didn't want to get off. We went and fed the ducks when Ellie and Adam rode the dozers. I was not sure Ty could do that without me. Next we went on the truck train ride. (See pict above) he was steering like crazy...Had both going at the same time. It was the cutest thing. He was serious. haha We got something to eat and headed home. Tyler did pretty well without a nap! I was suprised.

He is growing so fast, he is picking up his signing pretty quickly now too. cookie, more, fan, eat, all done, blows kisses,...It is wild to watch him communicate with us. He loves to follow the motions along with songs, like Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes, and The Wiggles songs like 'Rock a bye your bear' He follows along so well I will have to get it on video. He claps, sings, bows, turns around...all in time. It cracks me up. He is climbing like crazy, so fearless it is scary. Now he likes to stand on his little red car like it is a skateboard. Ahhh!

I better run..till next time!

Love to all!

Hi everyone...Sorry for the delay of vacation pictures, I had a program mishap and Tim is gonna fix it for me. BUT...

VIDEOS are up! There is one where Tyler cuddles his Pengie. He loves it. One of him dribbling and kicking his soccer ball and one of him showing us his muscles :) They are from June ;) There are MORE to come!!! Check them out in the video section!

Tyler is growing so fast, It is really hard to keep up. He is becoming this little person. He is all over the place and getting into everything. We are working on the word NO...and sometimes he listens, sometimes he doesn't, and sometime he laughs at you. YUP...laughs right in my face. Not a normal laugh...it is a laugh that is a bit devilish. It is so hard to not laugh. (Esp. when everyone else is turning their heads). We just started the naughty chair training with Ty. haha Wish us luck.

Ty has a few new skills... spinning, walking backwards, running..He loves to kick his soccerball, he loves to throw too... He blows kisses with his hand...MWAH! He tries to feed us and give us some of his sippy...he shares ;) He makes funny faces just to make us laugh. He dances all the time. He LOVES music! He still loves to drum on everything. He is using his sign language for eat and more. I need to teach him more! And CLIMBING! Ahhhh! Everywhere!!! Like a monkey! Maybe thats why he LOVES Bananas! haha

We will post the vacation blog soon! We have a TON of pictures to post and video!!!

Poor Little Guy...

Tyler has like 5 teeth coming in, including that one molar I posted about a couple days ago. It looks like he has 2 more in the front and 2 more on the bottom and they are making him miserable. Poor thing had a fever yesterday because of it and this morning he was quite the cranky little one.

Hopefully we'll get through this set in a couple days to a week and be back on track with our happy go lucky little man.

Tyler is growing SO fast!

It's amazing. it's like one morning he wakes up and decides to do 15 new things that just throw us for a loop. In the past week or two he has done the following:

  • Throws his diaper in the trash after we change him and then claps that he did a good job.
  • Says "dude"
  • One day I walked up to him and said "Tyler!" and shook my hands. He shook his hands the exact same way and said "daddy!"
  • He is now running all the time and is getting hard to catch!
  • Mimics everything we say (including Bibbidee Bobbidee Boo from Cinderella)
  • Says thank you when he hands you something because when he would grab something like the remote we would take it and say thank you and he has learned now that when he gives us something we say thank you
  • Says "Hi Daddy!" when I walk into the room
  • Has started to say "MWAH" when he kisses
  • He loves to dance and he has started walking backwards all over the room. It's like one day he just realized, hey, I can take steps the other way and go backwards.
  • He has been pointing at things that he wants or to get our attention for a while now as well

Those are just some of the things that have happened in the past couple weeks. He has also started to get seperation anxiety when either me or Candace leave the room. He'll start bawling and run over to the other parent that is still in the room and hug us. The poor guy also has that molar coming in up top. We know it is bugging him cause he is a little more drooly than normal. But it'll be breaking through any day now. sigh.... he's getting so big so fast. He is just an adorable little angel. It's hard to believe he is already more than a year old...

Pitter Patter...

Here is a pictures of Tyler showing us his muscles. We tell him "Ty, show us your muscles!" He then makes these little fists and gives us a little grrrr! It is the cutest thing ever!

He is growing so fast, and I know I always say that, but it is true. I cannot keep up! LITERALLY! He has started to pick up his walking pace. He has got a little run going on. It is sweet to hear him run across the kitchen floor. Little pitter patters...ahhh, such a sweet sound. Its cute too, I got him to throw away his diaper. He gets so proud of himself. He's my little helper. As soon as he gets those muscles to grow even more, I got a cute little vacuum cleaner... ;) heehee

We have begun having deep conversations with Ty. He is really telling us something. Tyler and I go on and on. I will ask him a question and he gives me a detailed baby chatter right back. He sings all the time and he has added a few new dance moves. He's got his booty shake, now he rocks back and forth and moves his arms all around. He loves the wiggles song "Hot Potato" and he follows all the motions. It is hilarious. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be dancing to the Wiggles...its even more fun when Ty does it with me. heehee so funny to hear Tim rocking out and singing "Fruit Salad, yummy yummy..." heehee Sorry Daddy, had to dish! It is precious!

Check out the latest picts! We will be adding more and more!!!

Love,
Candace

Ahhhhh Father's Day.

Father's day is quite different when after 40 years of spending it as a son you finally get to spend it as a father! Tyler is so amazing and yesterday was such a fun day. We went up Can's parents and had crabs and a cookout and went swimming. Then afterwards we went over and had dessert with my dad and sister. It was a very full day and it was a LOT of fun!

Tyler's new thing is running. He'll start walking and then pick up speed and be down the hallway before you know it. He's growing so fast...

I love when you give me kisses on my neck and I laugh soooo hard! You are funny daddy! I love it when you nibble my toes. It tickles! I am ONE!!!!

Hello Everyone!

I had an amazing day! I had my '1 year' checkup. Got some yucky shots :( but I weigh....25 lbs, 12 oz and I am 31 inches!!! The Dr. said I am gonna be a tall boy! He said I can start drinking milk and I can try all sorts of new foods! He said I am developing very well! I like my new Dr.! After that, we went to lunch at The Rainforest Cafe...my Nani and Poppy came too..also my Auntie Alexis, Uncle Jordo and Aunt Megs. (Of course Mommy and Daddy were there...my Daddy took off work because it was my first special day!!!) . I got some cool things...my Auntie bought me this frog that dances and sings "Go shorty, its your birthday..." I liked dancing to that. I loved the gorillas, the elephants were frightening, but I handled it. The loud leopard scared me, and I grabbed onto my Mommy and Daddy. It was FUN! We left and visited my Mom-mom. I know she is not here on earth, but I know she is around me all the time. I love her very much. We had to come home bacause I was so sleepy. I took a long nap. When I woke up, Mommy and Daddy took me to Toys R Us. I LOVE going there. My Daddy takes me there all the time. I look at all the cool toys. I got to pick out a toy this time. I saw this bike that I loved, even though I am not big enough to ride it. It is pretty cool! Mommy and Daddy got it for me. I had fun climbing all over the box. After Toys R Us, we went to order the balloons for my birthday party. My Daddy and Mommy took me to Chuck E. Cheese!!! I loved all the lights and sounds! I loved the show! I had fun eating pizza and showing Mom and Dad my muscles (my newest trick). I danced so much and I loved all the music. I rode all the rides I was big enough to ride! It was such a great day. As soon as we got home I was ready for bed! It is tough being ONE! heehee

Thank you to everyone who loves me!

Happy Birthday to me!

Thank you Daddy and Mommy! I LOVE you sooooo much! I can't wait for my birthday party!!!

Love,

Tyler

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TYLER!!!! Our sweet little boy is ONE!!!

I cannot believe this day has come. Our sweet little boy is ONE! What a blessing he is. He has touched our hearts so deeply. What did we do to deserve such a wonderful human being to grace our lives. What a gift. Sigh...
So continuing our story... I woke up and the Dr. came in to check me to see if I was ready to start the pitocen. NOPE. More cervix softening gel. Eventually they started the pitocen. This would get the contractions going and labor would be in full effect. Time went on and NOTHING. I was at a 1. More waiting...I got to a 2. The contrations we coming faster and harder. A nurse came in to check me. It was unbelievably painful...I told my favorite nurse Theresa to not let her touch me again! That was as mean as I got. From then on I was a champ. My Mom was with me. She really made me feel comforted. Sometimes you really need your Mommy...you know? It was nice because I knew she had been through this. She had understanding in her eyes. She knew what I was going through. What it must have felt for her to watch her child in labor. I know she would have done it for me if she could. I love my Mom and I am so blessed and lucky to have her in my life. Thank you Mom. More contractions, quicker and quicker...I was still at a 2. They were amazed at how I was taking it, because on the computer, the contractions were reading high. Meaning I should have been screaming. Take that Tom Cruise. Don't need to be a scientologist to be chill. Tim was watching me go though this and he was so worried. I could not really tell him that I was ok. I had to just breath through the pain. I wanted to get up and hug him. I know he felt helpless. Anyone who knows Tim, knows he will take care of everyone. Especially me...and especially me delivering his precious child. (he was a model husband...any craving (shaved ice every night), backrubs, footrubs, watching my silly shows, sleeping on a fraction of the bed because my pregnancy pillow took up most of the king sized bed...anything...he made sure I was comfortable...) Anyway...it was time for the 1st epidural. I wanted the epi so that I could really be a part of the birth and see the baby, rather than focus on the pain. The epidural was not taking...so a couple hours later they tried again. Did not work. I was in full blown labor and I felt it all. To be honest, it is not as bad as they say. At least for me it wasn't. It was like the worst menstrual cramp plus a little...but mentally, I was taken to another place. Almost like I left my body. Just had to breathe through it. It was hard because the waves of pain would come so fast, and you get so tired. Hours had gone by...full labor, still at a 2 or a 2 1/2. The Dr. noticed that the baby's heart rate showed some distress. He decided on a C-section. So I was wheeled down to the OR and prepped. Tim was so worried about me. I remember being too tired to reassure him. I just wanted to sleep. They numbed me pretty good and I had trouble breathing. They said I was breathing, but I was so numb it felt weird. I was thirsty too. I wanted to watch, but I couldn't see. I thought Tim was video taping, he brought the camera up a few times, but all you see is his pants leg. heehee He did catch the moment where the baby was pulled out...That was most important. When the baby was born, we were bawling. Tim and I could not believe it. It was the most amazing feeling. I can relive it and feel it all over again. I remember Dr. Lenowitz asking what his name was...Tim said "We don't know yet" I wanted to see him...As soon as we saw him, it was Tyler Christopher. We were wheeled to another room and I tried to breastfeed for the first time. Everything is sort of vague for me. I was a bit out of it. I just had major surgery! heehee Give me a break. heehee Eventually we went to the room and I saw the family. My parents, Alexis, Jordan, Megan...Tim's dad, and sisters Debbie and Diane were there. I was is a smaller room because of the C-section. We were all crammed in there waiting for Tim and Tyler. Tim was with Tyler as he was cleaned up and checked. They finally arrived and everyone was in tears. Tyler was welcomed with so much love. I know he felt every ounce of it. Everyone held him and cried and smiled. It was amazing. Tyler has blessed all of our lives and he continues to every day. He is such a special, wonderful person. I know he is meant to do wonderful things with his life. He brings so much joy. We love you Tyler Christopher. Happy Birthday sweetheart! Our little Roo...Our little monkey...We LOVE YOU! You are ONE! Wow!
Tyler Christopher ~ June 8, 2005 ~ 7:02 pm ~ 7 pounds, 15 oz, 21 inches
We go for his one year check up today!!! We will let you know his latest stats!!!
Love to all...Thank you all for your love and support!

Last year this time...June 7th 2005

Last year, Tim and I went to see Dr. Lenowitz. I was tenatively scheduled for an induction on the 10th of June. I was on bedrest for pregnancy induced hypertension. At our visit my blood pressure had elevated even more so my Dr. said I should be induced that evening. If the blood pressure rises too high, their is risk for stroke and harm to the baby. He went out to call the hospital...Tim and I looked at each other. We had so many feelings, elation, worry, happy...tears! We were not ready...we had a couple days left to prepare! heehee When we got home, we got everything together, I took a shower and he headed to the hospital. I remember calling my family and Tim calling his. "We are gonna have out baby sooner than expected!!!" I remember thinking how ready and not ready I was. I wanted this baby so bad. I didn't want to be pregnant anymore. I wanted to be a good Mom, would I be a good Mom? Oh my gosh! I have never been a Mom before...sure, to my dogs and kitties...but thats not the same thing...I am gonna be a real Mom. I have to be responsible for this little life. I remember asking God, 'Are you sure I am ready for this?' Then I took a deep breath and realized...YUP, I am ready. Sure I have never given birth...but I will give it 110%, I have never been a Mom...but I will give it my all. A sense of calm came over me and we headed to the hospital. We got into out really nice room...so cozy and comfy. I was hooked up with all the monitors and such. A nurse came in and talked with me privately. I remember thinking "This is really happening!' I remember looking in Tim's eyes and knowing exactly what he was thinking. I really felt one with him. We were doing this together and he was my strength. I had nothing to worry about. Tim was doing all the worrying for both of us. I felt all of his love and support. I was at peace.
My family came and visited me. We watched TV and I remember Brad Pitt being interviewed. Bleck! What a stupid memory to have. heehee We talked about names. We had picked Tyler, but I didn't commit because I wanted to see what he looked like. Would he look like a Tyler? That is important! When we had the first sonogram and the baby had flashed us (thats how we found out...we originally didn't want to know) the name Tyler popped into my head. So, his sonogram looked like a Tyler, but would the baby when he entered the world? That is important. My dad was being silly picking all different names. My Mom held my hand and looked at me in a way that only a Mom could. I remember thinking that I will be able to look at my child the same way with the same communication of love. Alexis was going to burst with excitement. She had been waiting for this day ever since Tim and I got married. Jordan and Megan were there too...I remember taking one of the 7 (positive) pregnancy tests at work...Jordan with tears in his eyes as we sat in the office and I told him I was pregnant. Everyone left, and Tim set up his little bed. I was gived this gel to soften the cervix. It was so hard to sleep that night, but I did the best I could. Pleasant dreams...Did I sleep? heehee
Thank you Tim for all your love and support that night and everyday. I am so blessed to have you for my bestest friend and my love of my life. I love you!

Love,
Candace

Wow...

Time flies. Next week (6/8) Tyler will be one!!! I can't believe it. He has come so far. He is such an intelligent and smart little guy. His personality is so awesome and he is the light of our lives. I don't know how we got so lucky, but he was definitely worth the wait. I keep saying this over and over, but I can't imagine our lives without him. Honestly, just to look over at him warms your heart and puts a smile on your face. It's been the quickest and at the same time, longest year of my life.

and ya know what? I wouldn't give one minute of it back or change a second of it for the world.

I love you Tyler! You make daddy SO proud and happy every day!

I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday weekend! Can you believe it is Memorial Day ALREADY! We are off to Nani and Poppy's to go swimming. Ty's first BIG pool! He loves his baby pool and water table that we have set up on the back deck. Tyler LOVES water! He loves bathtime, so of course he is gonna love swimming, huh!!! I saw the cutest thing ever the other day. I came home and Tim had Tyler all dressed up in a Body Glove wetsuit. It was the cutest thing ever. He is growing so fast, I cannot keep up!

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Such a wonderful day...

The most amazing feeling is being a Mommy. I have such a wonderful little boy. I am so blessed to be his Mom. I wake up everyday with a smile on my face. He brings so much joy to my life. So much love that I cannot explain. The way he looks at me, the way he smiles, even the way he eats, drinks...The way he is so curious about everything around him. I love it when he wakes up in the morning and he is standing in his crib. He gets so excited he bounces up and down, smiles and squeals in delight. I could go on and on...

I think about what I was feeling a year ago. I had little over one month till my due date. I was on bedrest, uncomfortable, counting the minutes till I met our little boy. I would do it all over again. I am so grateful for his little life.

So Mother's day is happy for me. I am blessed. Thank you Tyler, for picking me to be your Mommy. For being the most amazing person I know. I promise to love you, guide you, protect you, and believe in you. I love you with all my heart and soul.

Timmy, thank you for being such a wonderful father, husband, and best friend. You made my 1st Mother's Day a day I will never forget. I will cherish this day forever. I love you!

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mommies I know! Love to all!

Cand

Happy First Mother's Day Candace!

Today is Mother's Day. I tried to make it a weekend long event since it is our first and Tyler and Candace are so special to me. I took off work Friday without Candace knowing and I let her sleep in a bit and Friday I gave her a card and certificate to go get a manicure and a pedicure while I took care of the baby. Saturday Ty and I hung out and went to the mall (after I slept in) and played around and were pals while Candace ran some errands and used the certificate and went to our niece's daughter's ballet recital. I carried him through White Marsh for over an hour and lemme tell you, my right arm is SORE!

Sunday I tried to let Candace sleep in since Ty woke up at 6am, and when she woke up a couple hours later she woke up to Flowers (Daisy Crisanthimums) and a Mother-Child white gold pendant and 20" adjustable necklace for it.

We then drove up to Jordan and Megan's for brunch (which was AWESOME) and swung by the cemetary to visit my mom on the way home. I'm off to get crabs in a bit to wrap up a very nice weekend with crabs, draft beer and the Sopranos.

Tyler has been walking non stop. He doesn't crawl anymore. If he falls, he stands right back up and starts walking again without needing anything to hold onto. When he picks stuff up he squats down and gets it, he doesn't need to drop to his knees or butt anymore. He has been rolling the ball back and forth with Daddy and has been playing hide and seek with us too.

I'll be posting some picts Monday, my computer has been down all weekend.

I love you Can! Thank you for being the best mommy in the world to our little angel!

Ty's new pirate face...

Here is Tyler's adorable pirate face! He has been making this face and it so cute. SO we call it the pirate face!

Monday, May 08, 2006

Well, so much for the crawling

Tyler has started walking. He is finding that it is much faster to walk to a location than it is to crawl. He is going everywhere now, it's pretty awesome. He is still unsure about himself and sometimes will just stop in midstep and realize he isn't holding on in the middle of the room and be like "uh, how'd I get here?" But then he'll take a few more steps to get where he was going. He is also mimic'ing everything we do and every sound we make. Candace will sing a scale and he will sing it back in his own little way. It's pretty cool. He says quack quack quack when he sees a duck and says kittie and dog still. He also says stinky when he has a poopy diaper and will say piggy when he burps. The other day Candace didn't pay attention when he burped and he looked at her and waited for her to say piggie, but she didn't. Then all the sudden he looked over at her and said "piggie".

He loves the mommy and me class that Can takes him to every Thursday and he is learning a lot from it. Candace has been teaching him a TON of stuff. He can sign "fan" for the ceiling fan and knows mommy and daddy and eat/food.

He was just christened and was a dear. He didn't cry or anything when Father George put the holy water on his head, he started smiling and laughing and when everyone clapped when he was done, he started clapping with them. It was awesome.

Mommies day is this weekend. Should be a pretty special day!

Tyler Christopher's special day...

Today is Tyler's Baptism. Here is a picture of him posing in his christening outfit. It is a precious little white sailor suit. He looks darlin in it. I will be sure to get lots of pictures. Please say a prayer for him today.

Have a wonderful day!

Now let me do my one two step...

Hello, Hello!

ITs Thursday ALREADY! Whew! Time is really flying by! Seems like just yesterday we were getting ready for Easter!
Tyler has a NEW wake up time...It used to be 7-7:30, now it is 6 AM! YUP, our little prince rules the household. heehee He is down for a nap now because we go to our library music class at 10:30. He loves it and gets to see his really good friend, Tess.

(BTW...This picture was taken at Grammies and Poppy's house. Their backyard is beautiful. )

Ty is into mimmicking...some things he understands. He LOVES the Backyardigans. He sings along. Its like this soft 'Ahhhhhhh'...he holds the note. They have this song where they sing "treasure, treasure" and he goes "eh-duh, eh-duh" So of course Tim and I are walking around singing "treasure, treasure". I have been singing to him, and sometimes I go, LaLaLa...he will repeat, YaYaYa...So cute.

A funny one...everytime Tyler has a stinky diaper...we ask him if he is stinky, stinky butt, stinky pants (hmmmm, wonder where name calling originates...) ...The other day he was concentrating really hard, doing his business...I asked him if he was going poopy. He looked at me and said 'teetee' (for stinky). So funny.

Walk this way...and talk this way...

Yes SirEEEE! Tyler took his first three steps last week!!! I was sitting on the floor, he was standing at his leapfrog, and with his arms WIDE open, he walked to me. He has done that a couple times since, but he realizes, crawling his faster and safer for him. He has been standing alone too and will walk holding one of our hands. He likes to move the kitchen chairs and his highchair all around.

He LOVES 'D' words. Dada has become Dahdee (spoken gently) It is the sweetest and Tim melts everytime. He will say 'Hi Dahdee'...ahhh so precious. He loves saying 'deedee' for the doggies, and 'dudee' for Ducky. The cutest was the other day he was in the tub, and the hanging duck you see in the picture quacks. He looked at it and said 'wah, wah, wah, wah, wah, wah' trying ot say quack, quack, totally had the rhythm down...I got it on video. So adorable. He really likes to mimmick sounds. I love having these long babbling conversations. He is currently in his crib for his nap and he is singing away. Music to my ears...melting my heart.

We joined this website called 'Dropshots'. I have uploaded a bunch of videos. There is no downloading, the video will play automatically. IT loads itself. Here is a link to a video that I made for Tyler. It goes from 0-9 months of his life. Just click on the picture below.

Our little Rockstar!!!

Tyler LOVES drums...LOVES them. He loves to bang on everything, but now he found what a cool sound the drums make and he hammers away! It is so cute!

We had a WONDERFUL Easter holiday! Ty's 1st Easter! The Easter bunny spoiled him! On Friday, Ty's cousins Ellie and Adam came over with their Mommy Aunt Erin. Aunt Alexis came over too. We had a little Easter party. The Easter bunny stopped over at Aunt Erin's house and left him a basket with lots of toys and Elmo goodies. He had a great time playing with Adam and Ellie.
Easter Sunday was so nice. It was such a beautiful day! Tyler woke up and saw all the toys the Easter Bunny brought. We went to church, then came home for a nap. Everyone came over for dinner and the E.B. visited their homes too and left gifts for Tyler! A drum, shaker, and tamborine, pajamas, elmo clothes etc from Grammies and Poppy, A giggling bunny from Aunt Diane, A singing bunny from Auntie Alexis, a basket of goodies from Aunt Deb, An Elmo bunny from Aunt Megs and Uncle Jordo and Finger Puppets from Aunt Sandy and Uncle Will! WHEW! E.Bunny must have really thought Tyler was a good boy. Mommy and Daddy sure think so!

Hmmm, lets see, whats going on with TyTy!!!

Tyler has started standing on his own. It gets longer and longer everytime. It is amazing. He wants to walk...I guess that is coming soon!

He is doing this adorable kiss sound that his Auntie Alexis taught him. She gave him a MWAH kiss and then he goes Mwah! Then his Grandma taught him another trick. You whisper to him, "Tyler, let me tell you a secret" and he puts his ear close to your mouth to listen.

He loves to ride his little bike all over the living room. He bounces and dances on it. So cute!

He knows sign language for FAN. We have been teaching him sign language and this one definitely is FAN! heehee He puts his arm in the air and makes little circles.

Thats all for now...gotta run!

Love to all and we hope that you had a beautiful Easter!

The best feeling in the world...

Those of you with kids can relate...

The best feeling in the world is when I walk in the door from work and Tyler crawls over to me as fast as he can saying "daddy, dada dada daddy dada" over and over again. He'll crawl up to me and grab my pants and pull himself up to standing up and raise his arms for me to pick him up. Then he'll touch my face and say dada dada dada. Wow...

It's an incredible feeling. I just hug him and kiss him and kiss him and kiss him. Man, it's awesome. :)

I love our little family...

Tyler met the Easter Bunny today! He absolutely LOVED him! He was so happy clapping, laughing and bouncing. I thought for sure he would be scared of him...but nope...LOVED him! It was so cute!

Happy 10 month birthday TyTy!!! Can you believe how fast time is going by! We gotta start planning his first birthday party!

Puppy Love

Here is a picture of Tyler and our puppy Mickey. Tyler loves the dogs. He tries to say Dog...it comes out more like a "Duh" sound. So cute. I may have been wrong with Ty saying Elmo..I heard it one time, maybe it was a fluke. When he sees Elmo he makes an 'Ahhh' sound real loud. He gets so excited. It is so neat to watch him learn and discover new things. We go back and forth with sounds to mimmick each other. He gets so excited. Anyway, just thought I would share this darlin picture.

Our little daredevil!

Sorry for lack of updates. Had a crazy week! My dad is doing great! Thanks to everyone for your thoughts and prayers.

Tyler is growing so fast, I don't think I can keep up! He is into mimmicking what we say. We stop and go..."What did you just say?" He loves to say Baby...Mama, Dada...and an occasional Elmo... Yep, let the Elmo party planning begin! heehee I have been working on the "Smile and Wave" song that he learned in the music class at the library. He waves his little arm. So cute. As you can see in the picture, he has become a little daredevil. Climbing all over. Pulling up on the glass doors, chairs. He now takes a small step from the ottoman to the couch. He is starting to stand for a second without holding on. It is funny cause he looks at me like, "What am I supposed to do now?" and then he will just sit. He also loves his swing that Ty's daddy hung from the deck. He loves swinging and just cracks up.

He is so curious. He loves to get into everything. EVERYTHING. He also loves to bang on things like a drum. I will have to get it on video. He has rhythm. Our little drummer boy. hee hee

We are up to 8 teeth!!! The last little sucker popped up out of nowhere.

Thats all for now!

Love to all..

Dada!

Tyler said dada yesterday. He is still walking all around the couch holding on when he walks and when we say "come here Ty" he will walk as fast as his little feet can, to come over to us. It's SO cute. Yesterday when I was sitting on the couch and I said "come here" he came over to me and said "dada" and I was like "WHAT!?" It was SO awesome hearing him say that and seeing his face light up when he said it and he looked up at me. One of those Kodak moments...

He also said Elmo a couple days ago when he was playing with his Elmo E L M O(sung to the tune of YMCA). But that isn't as cool as dada.

He also still says mama. Especially when he wakes from his nap and cries for us to get him.

We hung a little swing out under the deck, now all we need is for the weather to get warm!

To the NINES!!!

WOW! Happy Anniversary honey! Tim and I are celebrating our 9 year anniversary today! I LOVE YOU! WHEW! Time really flies! And TyTy is 9 months old...If someone would have told me that we would have a 9 month old on our 9 month anniversary, I would not believe them!

We went to the Zoo yesterday! It was lots of fun! There was barely anyone there, so it was like we had the zoo to ourselves! Ty saw penguins, polar bears, elephants...almost everything! It was a fun little outing since Daddy was on vacation for a couple days! We also went to the park the other day. It was so warm and beautiful out! Tim rode his motorcycle and met us there. We got some good pictures of Tyler on the swing. He was not sure about it at first, but then LOVED it!

Tyler is starting to really get into mimicking. We have this high pitch language we speak to each other it. We will have to get it on video somehow. Either I repeat him or he repeats me and it goes on and on. SO cute! He is also doing this cute thing where we say "Awww baby" and he rests his head on you. Enough to make you melt!!!

Happy March 15th!!!

Love to all!

9 MONTHS OLD TODAY!!!

Tyler is 9 months old today!!! Happy Birthday sweet Ty Ty!

Here is a picture of him standing at our patio doors. He LOVES to pull himself up on EVERYTHING! I can't keep up. heehee He loves to explore everything. His Aunt Erin commented yesterday with how confident he is. He is so funny...so determined.

Yesterday, Tyler's cousins came over. Ellie and Adam. He enjoyed playing with them. There were toys all over. He played so hard, he fell asleep on his little blanket. It was so cute. He loves seeing his cousins and his Aunt Erin. Then after his nap we went to the mall to get him some shoes for his Easter outfit. He got his foot measured for the first time! He is a size 4 ALREADY!!!

Today, we met up with his Poppy, Aunt Megs, and Uncle Jordo for his Aunt Paulette's birthday at Bennigans. He has not seen his Aunt Paulette in a while, so he gave her LOTs of smiles!!! Everyone LOVED his little tie. He was not to thrilled with the servers singing "Happy Birthday". I think it was too loud for him...poor thing. After the song, everyone (including customers)around came over to tell him how cute he was. Of course I ate it up!!! heehee

Tomorrow we are going to the library again for the baby booster's storytime. Afterwards, we are going to lunch with his new friend Tess and her Momma. We met them at the class :)

Love to all!!!

9 month update!!! ALREADY!!!

Tyler had his 9 month old appointment today! He weighs...drumroll please...23 3/4 pounds and is 31 inches long. He is in the 90th percentile for both! The Dr. said he is progressing perfectly! He is strong and healthy. She said to be careful and babyproof, because he is cruising around the furniture, that walking can come within a couple weeks. Oh LORD help me! I am exhausted as it is! heehee Maybe he will hold out a couple months and enjoy crawling more.

I just cannot believe he will be 9 months old on Wednesday. It seems unreal how fast time is going by. It felt like I was pregnant for 10 years, and WOW...it has been 9 months...already!!!! He just lights up my life so much, it is hard to imagine my life without him. Last night Tim and I went into his room and looked in on him as he was sleeping. Complete sweetness...just this little angel who has blessed our lives. We looked at each other and completely read each other's minds. We both filled up. Our lives are complete with him. We want to protect him. Love him with all we are. Not for a minute will we take for grated how blessed we are.

Teething is not pretty!!!

Our poor little Ty...He is working on getting his 6th tooth. The 5th one just broke through. (Look at the pick...how many toys can he bite on at one time?) He has had some rough nights...also he had learned to have separation anxiety at naptime and bedtime. I called the Dr. and she said he just wants to play, especially since he is getting around he wants to be entertained. And he misses us, mixed with teething...not pretty. It is so hard! We comfort him, then walk away to let him cry it out a little and he starts crying "Mama"...That is the HARDEST!!! He just stands in his crib looking up in dispair! And I have to be strong and not pick him up. We just lay him back down, pat his little bottom till he settles a bit...and walk out...and all over again..till he wears himself out. It is rough and Mommy here is EXHAUSTED! Daddy is too, not to mention Daddy has had to work though the night for a couple nights cause he is oncall for work. Tyler did sleep through the night last night. I guess that one tooth breaking through helped.

Ty is also learning the word 'No'...Not fun. He is getting good at the crocodile tears! It is so funny, he gets his sad face and cries for a couple seconds looking at you, like "Look what you did, you made me sad". It is funny, and cute. Yeah, making my child cry is cute. He is learning how to work us, and what he can get away with. He will go over to something he shouldn't and look at you like, "See whatI am doing...ha ha". He is not even 9 months old yet! Are we in trouble or what!!!

Tomorrow Tyler and I are going to the Library for the second time for Baby Boosters. We play, sing songs, read books, blow bubbles...Tyler is amazed at all the other little ones.

Tyler loves Elmo, our puppy Casey, gerber puffs, spaghetti, and Firehouse Tales...A little cartoon :)

Altighty, better get some things done!!! MWAH!

Love to all...

So, I'm sitting here at work...

at 4:41am in the morning. One of our servers is down and I'm in the process of bringing it back up.

I'm killing time waiting for the server by looking at all the picts I have of our littl Ty. He has grown so fast it's crazy. It's true what they say that the days go by slow but the years go by fast. It almost brings a tear to my eye that he is no longer the little baby that just lays there and smiles and looks up at us and can't crawl or get around. But it also brings joy to my heart to know that we are doing such a great job as parents and being the best parents we can be for our little one. He is pretty much still crawling all over the place and his newest thing is he will go over to the ottoman or the couch, pull himself up and then proceed to walk around the entire couch while he holds on. He is getting really good at that and is getting pretty fast. It probably won't be long before he is taking his first steps on his own. sigh...

I can't imagine not having him in our lives. He is such a bright ray of sunshine and makes every minute worth living. Even the ones where he wakes up early at 5am and is standing up in his crib waiting for us when we walk in his room.

So our little Roo is a biter. heehee As you can see his top little teeth are coming in :) So cute! Every once in a while though, he gets ya! Little toofer marks in my arm, finger, cheek.... He also gives me cute little kisses and I LOVE it...except now, every once in a while he with get a grip on my cheek. Ouch! The front ones are slowly but surely coming in!

Closer and closer to walking every day...

As posted before, Tyler has been crawling. To top it off now he crawls over to things and pulls himself up to stand up. For some reason, no matter how many toys he has, he is such a little man and always goes for the remotes on the ottoman. He will crawl over and pull himself up and reach away. Today is the first time that he has pulled himself up to his leapfrog table. I was making a bottle and I walk back over to the living room and he is standing there playing at his table. Good stuff!

Those toofers are comin' in...

Ty had a tough day yesterday and when he woke up this morning we saw the reason (although we knew yesterday, it was just a little more prominent today). His two top front teeth have poked their way through his poor little gums. He also still has another one on the top left coming in too, so that's at least 3 teeth moving on in and making his little life a bit miserable. He is a trooper though and you'd hardly know that he was teething other than the fact that he is just more cuddly than usual. He just wants to lay his head down on Can's shoulder. Can't say I blame him. :)

We took him to Toy's R' Us on V-Day. It was an awesome day. We spent the day going out to lunch and to the toy store and we bought him a little walker toy car that will help him learn to walk. He is crawling SO fast we can't turn our backs on him for a second now. I remember the days of setting him down with his toys and coming back after making his bottle and he'd still be in the same spot. Now when I put him down and go to make his bottle he ends up underneath me looking up at me. It's so cute.

Our little super hero...

Here is a picture of Tyler yesterday (Our little Valentine) test driving the cars at ToysRUs.

WOW, what a week! I can't believe it. He is a speedy speedster when he crawls. He is giving his Mom a workout! He starts moving and he has that "I am looking for trouble" look in his eye. He is so curious. He will bypass all his toys, and look for new and intersting things. He LOVES the silver remote too. All his colorful toys, and he wants the real things, like remotes, Tim's blackberry, my keys...

As you might have seen on the video from Month 9...Ty said Mama...I am sure he does not know what he is saying, but he said it! He says it a lot now too. I guess cause I get so excited. I was saying "Dog" and "Doggie" and "Casey"(our dog) and he would watch my mouth and look at the dog. He was really concentrating.

Peek-a-boo with his hands is a new one too. He has done it with a blanket, but it is so cute when he uses his hands. At first he was putting his hands on his ears and I realized what he was doing. He will put his hands over his eyes, sometimes only covering one and then pulls them away real fast. So funny.

Anyway, he is waking from his nap now...better run...

Love to all!

8 MONTHS OLD!!!

HOLLA! Tyler is 8 months old today!!! Can you believe it! He is growing so fast. As Tim previously told you, Tyler is crawling and it is so hard to keep up with him. IT is funny. He also loves to get on his hands and knees and rock. He bounces like crazy. In the morning he likes to play in his crib and talk. He crawls all around and rocks. I saw him trying to pull himself up. Uh-oh.

We saw Tyler's friends recently. We visited with The Groves. He had so much fun playing with his buddy Luke. And yesterday he saw his friend Isabella and her mommy Melanie. They looked at each other and exchanged some baby babble. I know they can't wait to play Saturday when we meet up with The Luntz Family too! We can't wait to see how big Shayna is getting! Hopefully we can get good pictures of the three of them!

Poor Ty has been teething. These suckers are coming soon! You can see them right at the surface. Our poor little guy. He is being so good.

OH and GUESS WHO GETS KISSES! That's right, his MOMMY! He likes to kiss me when he wakes up, or if I leave and come back into the room...When he misses me! YUP, I am eating it up!

Alrighty, off to do some Tyler laundry :) Love to all!

Our lives have officially become 100 times harder...

Tyler is crawling. Today he finally figured out how to get the arms and legs working in conjunction with each other and he is trucking all over the place. Candace got it on tape so we'll post the video soon. We can't stop him, looks like its time to start babyproofing the house.

The wonderful thing about Tyler's is Tyler's a wonderful thing...

Life with our little one is so incredible (I know I keep saying that). Tyler is getting 3-4 new teeth and he can clap and we swear when he is clapping he says "yaaaaahhh". We also think we hear him say "hi" when we walk into the room because whenever we leave a room and come back in and see him we always say "hi" and I think he is picking up on that. He is starting to crawl a very little bit. He gets up and rocks still but he has now begun moving his knees forward and the other night he moved his hands in conjunction with the knees to actually move forward. He also knows where to put his little "roll arounds" in his play dinosaur and claps his hands with toys in them to hear the sound they make.

It's so amazing watching him learn things and pick things up that we do and say. He can hold his bottle and feed himself with it and takes it out and takes breaths and puts it back in and keeps going. It's so cute.

It seems like just yesterday I was being pushed out of the bed with the pregnancy pillow... :)

I'll be updating the site with picts in the next couple o' days, so stay tuned.

Tyler is growing so fast!!! Update...

~Tyler can clap his adorable little hands. It is soooo cute. He is so proud of himself with himself when he does it. He squeals with delight. (His Mommy does too).

~Tyler is coming closer to crawling. He lifts up on his hands and knees and rocks back and forth. He also can move all over the place crawling on his belly. He is like the cutest little alligator moving all around, as soon as he gets to his toys he puts them in his mouth. He is a little biter! heehee

~Tyler is doing really well with eating. He is a pro at feeding himself gerber rice puffs, biter biscuits and zwieback toast. He can pick it up with his index finger and thumb. It is funny when he grabs it with his fist because he tried to put his whole fist in he mouth. I bought a cookbook on making baby food. He is gonna be ready for stage 3 soon!

~Ty is finally on a pretty good schedule. Naptime, bedtime,...he is doing pretty well. I think he likes the routine. He LOVES bathtime. heehee

We can't wait to see all of Tyler's new little friends. They are all growing so fast. It seems like yesterday I was counting down the days till delivery. Whew...he is 7 1/2 months old already! I can't believe it!

Have a lovely day!

Strike a Pose!!!

Tyler LOVES the camera. He is sooo

used to his Mommy snapping away he sits
and smiles and poses. Even if it takes a couple
extra seconds. It is so funny. We went to Tim's
dad's on Sunday to celebrate Christmas a little
late. I took like 25 pictures and he smiled for each one. Tim's sisters were cracking up and telling me to take another. Tyler is such a ham. He was loving it. Here is one of the shots where he turned and posed. He is such a good little baby. We are so blessed.

We went to the Dr. today for a follow up on his ears. Tyler's ear infections are all gone! YAH! Now we know that it is his teefers that are giving him trouble. He wants to bite everything. He has even bit down on his lip twice and it bled a little. IT just breaks my heart to see him have any sort of hurt or ache. I have no idea what I am gonna do the first time he skins his knee, or God forbid ever broke anything! Stitches! Uuuugh! And Tim can't wait to buy our little one a dirt bike. Daddy, Mommy is having second thoughts.
I am gonna be one of THOSE over-protective Moms aren't I? Hovering over him like a hawk...Sigh...He is growing toooo fast already, I need to stop thinking about that, eh?!

Oh well, my little roo is ready to eat...gotta run!

Love to all,
Tyler's Mommy

Fatherhood is amazing.

I don't know how we ever went through our lives without this little guy. It is hard to imagine what we did or how we felt a year ago before Tyler was born. I just sit and watch him and think that he is just perfect and we are the luckiest people in the world. When I'm down or feel unhappy, I just look over at him and he gives me the biggest smile and all my problems just melt away. It is so awesome to be able to just make a stupid face and watch him crack up like I'm the funniest person in the world. He has such an amazing personality and is so full of life and happy and giggly. We are so blessed.

I can't wait until he is old enough to utter 4 little words...

I love you daddy.

:)

Candace, I love you. You are an amazing wife and an even more amazing mommy.

Our little Rockstar!

Here is one of Tyler's newborn pictures....WOW...In 1/2 hour, Tyler Christopher will be 7 months old! (yes I should be sleeping)Can you believe it! He is growing up so fast.

Poor little dear..Tyler's had his first real cold. He woke up Wednesday morning with a stuffy nose and cough. I used the saline baby spray, cleaned his little nose, took his temp., gave him a vapor bath, baby tylenol, cuddles...just tiny wimpers from him before he would fall asleep in my arms throughout the day. Well, his cough got worse, so I called the Dr. to see what I could do to help his cold. She wanted to see him, so we ran off to the Dr. Suprisingly he had an ear infection in BOTH ears. Poor dear. He is on antibiotics. He is being so sweet. He is not irritable, or crying a lot, just my happy little baby. He will tug on his ears here and there, and tilt his head, but for the most part you would never know. He is just the happiest little guy! He is feeling better now.

Tyler is on the verge of crawling. He gets up on his hands and knees and rocks. He tried so hard, but sometimes he ends up moving backwards. It is so cute. Watching him play with his toys is amazing too. Watching him discover new things... It is so cool.

Oh, and Tyler may have said "Hi" We all have heard it once or twice...but we can't rewind to see if our ears are correct. hehee Stay tuned!!!

Anyway, where is Daddy's blog?

Here is a picture of Tyler rocking out!!! heehee

Love to all!
