We are so very blessed. He is almost finished his 1st grade school year...and will be 7 soon. Its just hard to believe.
He is into everything, TKD, soccer, and now Lacrosse. We are busy people at the moment :) haha
He had his first LAX scrimmage today and he did so well. He was so aggressive and strong. He was all over the field running...it was so fun to watch.
Ty is an awesome reader. He LOVES chapter books now. He was on the honor roll again (called PRIDE award at his school).
Ty is an amazing big brother. He is so good with Chace, so patient and caring. Chace will pull his hair, pinch him, but Ty is so mature about it. Ty reads to him, and teaches him things, dances with him. Ty also tries to change his diaper (tough because Chace is tough to wrestle...haha), and feed him. Ty is just one cool kid.
Ty also likes to help cook... he can make his own mac n cheese in the microwave. He loves being independent.
We love him so much!djcandyrockerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16902270833333412708noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8775257.post-64198049826292334012012-01-02T18:32:00.000-05:002012-01-02T18:33:11.858-05:00Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!Its safe to say, Ty had a pretty fantastic Christmas! He goes back to school tomorrow and we are all a bit sad. I loved having him home. When is spring break ;) I love my little Ty. Well, big boy Ty. :)
His new tooth is growing in, and two more are lose. Oh my!
He is just growing up so very fast.
He is a sweetheart!
Ty has lost his front tooth..the tooth fairy gave him $10!!! What a lucky little man :) He looks so cute missing a tooth, but its so sad too. :( He is growing up so very fast! He is having such a fun time this holiday season! We recently went to see the train garden at Kenilworth Mall and visited Santa. We got a wonderful picture! Cooley came back and brought his little Elf buddy for Chace :) Ty has had lots of fun with them. He is really enjoying the magic of Christmas!!!
Ty is doing really well in school, getting 100% on all of his tests, doing his homework right away...still rocking the TKD and playing soccer! He's a busy young man for sure! We just adore him!!! Hard to believe he is 6 1/2 years old!

Tyler LOVED his baby brother. He is so sweet to him. He pays so much attention to him, includes him...occasionally jealous, but I think thats normal. So yesterday, I was feeding the baby and Ty asked if he could...(mind you, he could have played on his computer, watched TV, played with toys)...however he wanted to feed his brother. So I let him. He talked to him as he fed him, so sweet. He uses this soft, sweet voice with him...Chace just looked up adoringly with his big brown eyes. It was a moment. Then the other night he wanted to read to him...so I sat them on the couch. It was so touching to see. He didn't just read it, he had expression as though he was putting on a little show. Chace was captivated. I will cherish that. I am just loving watching this sweet bond form. I love them.

djcandyrockerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16902270833333412708noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8775257.post-68717083819180574392011-10-19T12:59:00.000-04:002011-10-19T12:59:24.390-04:00Ty Loves Reading and Heavy MetalTyler reads so well, I cannot begin expressed how amazed I am. Last night we were reading a book...he picked a particular long one, however he was doing the reading so I let it go past bedtime. Much like when he eats his veggies, it makes me so happy, so when he wants to read, I LOVE IT. He tackles big words without fear and I am so proud.

Tyler is also growing ups so fast... the other day he was playing music on his computer in his room. (Daddy has it super fixed so that he can limit websites, has the school math and reading websites accessible, and even watch what he is doing on his computer downstairs...we want to encourage his use of a computer like its an everyday thing...). So in one instant, my 6 year old became a teenager. I go in to check on him in his room and he is ROCKING out! He loves all sorts of music, but in particular old school heavy metal. He loves the sound of the screaming guitar. I asked what he was listening to he said "Take These Chains Off Me..." Judas Priest is one of his favorites. And so it begins.djcandyrockerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16902270833333412708noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8775257.post-15793428949201850562011-10-15T15:35:00.000-04:002011-10-15T15:35:22.113-04:00Our active 6 year old...So Ty is playing Soccer AND still doing TKD. He wants to do it all, and as long as he is happy, we will support him. We promised each other to never make him do something he does not want to do because we want him to. This morning he had a soccer game at 8:30am... ouch! haha (Esp since his baby brother decided he wanted to be awake at 4am). He did so well... he broke away from the pack a few times dribbling down the field. He is learning the sport so fast. Right after, we packed up and Tim took him to TKD. I am so proud of him :)
Getting ready for family fun day!!!

djcandyrockerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16902270833333412708noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8775257.post-58699094165010761612011-10-15T15:31:00.005-04:002011-10-15T15:31:48.998-04:00Ty is a funny kid...I just love that Tyler has a quick sense of humor, alas, boys will be boys and sometimes you just cannot help buy laugh. We dug out one of Ty's old Leapfrog activity tables for Chace... It teaches ABC's and 123's etc in English and Spanish... it also teaches colors... and well, we know blue in spanish is azul... however on the toy it can sound like A-hole... he quickly figured it out and Tim and I let go and let the silly humor explode, ( explaining it is just between our family...that it does not leave this house or do we share with visitors until he is 18...lol). He gets it. With that said, we spent about 20 minutes laughing hysterically at random sentences. For example, our dog Lucy was acting up and Ty said "Lucy is being an..." and pressed the "azul" button. For some reason we all were no good. Then he said, "Tyler is an..." and was smart enough to press green instead. It got a little crazier... but I wanted to remember this silly time in his little blog. Good times for sure!!!djcandyrockerhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16902270833333412708noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8775257.post-92186633903434157532011-10-12T13:13:00.003-04:002011-10-12T13:29:16.230-04:00Ty Ty is growing so fast...

So last night Tim and I pulled up some photos on our PS3 and later on the computer... Its amazing how fast Ty is growing. He is becoming this little man before our eyes. Just last year he looked so little. We looked at photos from Disney and from when he was a baby... Its just so hard to imagine. He is growing up to be this amazing kid, with a wonderful sense of humor, and a beautiful heart. Its so amazing to see him with his little brother, and how much he loves him.
Ty is also doing amazingly well in school.
He recently was tested to see what reading level he is and what reading group he would be placed. This is what the teacher wrote in regards to me asking about the testing... "Tyler did a fantastic job. He is an excellent reader. The other day in science, he was the only student in the entire class who was able to read the word organism. I was very impressed!" According to the word lists they sent home, he is well beyond a 3rd grade reading level. He is also very proud of getting "green" everyday. That means the teacher does not have to correct his behavior. I always worry...even though I trust my kiddo, I am not there to watch him. He is on his own. I am proud of that. I also love that as soon as he gets home, he sits down to do his homework right away. I love that that habit is forming.

Ty is playing soccer now and loves it. He has instinct and he is pretty fast. Hard to believe the season is almost over. He is also still taking TKD and has his blue belt.
Halloween is fast approaching! He is going to be Captain America and looks so adorable! Chace will be his partner as the Incredible Hulk and Lucy is Wonder Woman!!!
Its gonna be great!!!Minnicks Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12247260330414412547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8775257.post-68005438317552111692011-09-06T21:43:00.003-04:002011-09-06T21:49:35.096-04:00Ty is officially a 1st grader!!!Its hard to believe our little baby boy is now a big bad 1st grader. He is growing up so very fast, its insane. He is such a sweet child, but has his mischievous moments of course. Its so hard to not laugh, but we do out best. He is very inquisitive now. He asked us if during the day, do all of the moths hang out by the sun? He is always thinking. He has quite the imagination... he put a rockstar outfit together, it was so cute...and then last week, put his snowsuit on (August) and created a Donkey Kong costume... I love it when he uses his imagination. He is such a clever little man.
Ty is quite the reader... we discovered that at a minimum he is reading at a 3rd grade level. We were impressed.
He just got his blue belt in Taekwondo... it was tough for him cause it is so much to learn..but he worked hard and passed the test! So impressed!
Ty also just started playing soccer... he loves it and I think he is gonna be quite the soccer player :)
Ty is also an amazing big brother!!! He loves his baby bro, but his baby brother LOOOOVES Ty... he is so interested in everything Ty does. ITs cute to watch their special bro-bro relationship.
We love our little Ty!!!
Who is now a big boy Ty... sigh.Minnicks Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12247260330414412547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8775257.post-59034360361855514522011-08-19T12:49:00.002-04:002011-08-19T12:57:04.189-04:00Long awaited TY update!!!Ty just had his 6 year Dr. appt!!! NO SHOTS (until the flu shot anyway)... He weighed 46 3/4 lbs and was 46 inches tall. He was in the 50/50% ... Dr. Feldman said otherwise, he is perfect. He is just growing so fast. Its hard to believe he is 6. He had a Star Wars Birthday party complete with an awesome Stormstrooper making an appearance. We just got back from OC and he had a blast! He loved the waves and playing in the sand... rode all the ride and was just about too tall for the boats inside Trimpers rides. I could not believe it! Good thing he could ride though. That was always my favorite ride. He is still doing TaeKwonDo...and has his Super GREEN belt... I believe he tests next week for the Blue belt... He also just started playing soccer for St. Ursula's... he has had one practice so far and just loves it. He graduated from Kindergarten doing really well... he reads incredibly well and can write really well too. He starts the 1st grade very soon! He is the best big brother to Chace,.. he is so loving and patient. He gives him so much attention and Chace just beams and squeals. He thinks Ty is the coolest! Ty is just so loving and helpful.. He has even helped with changing diapers and anytime we ask him to do something, he does it right away... We just love him so much and we are so incredibly proud of him. We are blessed, thats for sure!!!

He is the sweetest little boy in the world. Definitely a blessing and Godsend. He'll go over to Candace and lift her shirt and kiss her belly. I really can't wait to see how he is with the baby when its born.

We leave for Disney in 16 days. Can and Ty are flying on the 28th, I'm starting the drive on the 27th. Kinda nervous going by myself, but I'm a big boy. I'm also a little nervous that Can and Ty are going by themselves, but they'll be fine.

Tyler lost his SECOND tooth! Both middle teeth on the bottom are now gone. Candace had to dig through the trash to find this one. It fell out while he was eating a hamburger. The Tooth Fairy left him $5 for Disneyworld.

Cooley Elf has made his appearance and his leaving footprints all around the house leaving Ty cool little things. He's also been eating our candy that tricky little elf.

Love to all.

Daddy T.Minnicks Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12247260330414412547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8775257.post-61583179641892989242010-10-25T22:32:00.002-04:002010-10-25T22:33:23.532-04:00TY IS GONNA BE A BIG BRO TO A...LITTLE BROTHER :)
ITs a Boy!!!

Ty is thrilled!

We had our ultrasound today and the high point was when Ty saw the baby's bladder was full and the little boy part :)

haha Boy humor for sure!

Congratulations TyTy!!!
Minnicks Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12247260330414412547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8775257.post-46257561254541042102010-10-20T10:23:00.003-04:002010-10-20T10:33:33.508-04:00Tyler news!!!Ty is 5, in Kindergarten, In the class in TKD...going for Super Yellow this weekend, gonna be a big brother in March :) And the LATEST!!!
TY LOST HIS FIRST TOOTH ON 10-19-10!!!
IT was precious, it was sooooo loose! He was a little scared, and mainly because he had never met the Tooth Fairy or knew what she or he would look like! haha Too cute!
Tim was able to kinda flip it out and wah-la! One little missing tooth. He looks so cute.
Tooth Fairy brought him $10 for the very first tooth because its so special!
He is saving it for a Beyblade Arena... These grown up toys are killing me! He is growing so fast. He is into all that big kids stuff... Superheroes, Beyblade, Star Wars, Spongebob, but will still watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse... Thank GOD! I am not a fan of Spongebob myself! haha
We just went on his first Kindergarten fieldtrip to the pumpkin patch :) We went to Roha Farms and I got to see what all his little friends looked like. He rides the bus and loves it, but I get to pick him up in the afternoon...otherwise he gets home way too late!

He is a loving, sweet child...we are so blessed, thats for sure!

Minnicks Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12247260330414412547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8775257.post-8076362686955252752009-08-26T16:11:00.003-04:002009-08-26T16:16:18.463-04:00Video games!I cannot believe how much Ty loves video games... of course they are on a time limit... as I tell him his brain will turn to mush. If he gives me a hard time, I just walk over, put my hands on his head and give a little squeeze... and say "OH NO MUSH!!!" and he will turn it off right away. I know... maybe I am a horrible mom, but it cuts out a tantrum and his brain actually turning to mush from too many video games! haha

We have been doing little activities... like cooking, or working on his letters, painting. He loves doing all of that stuff, but his most favorite has been reading books. He LOVES to read books. Its precious. It warms me heart ;)

Today we are making jello jigglers for the first time ever. We have 2 hours left of fridge time, and he cannot WAIT! haha ITs too funny!

He also got his BLUE belt in Taekwondo! I am so so proud of my little gent!Minnicks Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12247260330414412547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8775257.post-36832698738388527272009-08-10T00:50:00.003-04:002009-08-10T01:01:11.938-04:00My little ManSigh... I cannot believe it is August already. When grown ups would tell me, "Don't wish your life away? Time flies as you get older? They grow so fast!!!" They were not kidding. Here we are, double digits in August and gearing up for "back to school"... I just cannot believe it!
Ty has been doing well. We have had a could zoo trips, and he has become a little fish in the pool. We go to my parents house a lot and practice. He is quite the little guppie. So precious. We hope to hit the beach for a day or 2, but we are really getting excited about our trip to Disney again in 113 days! I am sure that will be here sooner that I can imagine! So close, yet so far away.

Ty is just this lovable, grown-up little man. We have our share of temper tantrums, but he is extremely lovable. Just a little cuddle monkey... while becoming so independent.

We finally had his 4 year old checkup. He LOVES Dr. Feldman. We LOVE Dr. Feldman. he just knows what to do... I know, I know... he is a Dr. but I completely trust him. Ty loves him too, they were joking and being silly. He talks to Tyler, not us... well, us, but Ty is the patient, and he feels so important. Its nice. He brought out the needles... uh -oh.. I was nervous, but he did one arm and told Ty to say Jimi Hendrix rocks.. Ty was stunned so Dr. F told him that he didn't say Jimi Hendrix rocks.. that takes the pain away... haha, so a couple minutes later, he was doing the other arm and Ty said real quick Jimi Hen rocks... we all laughed, it was cute. Ty didn't cry AT ALL! His feelings were hurt and turned to Tim and said, I am ready to go now. haha It was funny. He eventually forgave Dr. F... had his hearing and eyesight checked and all was good!
Ty weighs 39 pounds and was 41 inches tall.
I got a bit teary at that point as I flashed back to all his previous yearly weigh ins... I pretended I was sneezing and needed a tissue.
I am a wimp.

Anyway... just checkin in!!!
Hope all is well!Minnicks Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12247260330414412547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8775257.post-60037292229907470272009-06-12T11:03:00.003-04:002009-06-12T11:28:09.567-04:00Ty... 4 already!I cannot believe we have not blogged his sweet little birthday!
Before I start... Ty just hit his leg on the table and it made him mad... he said "thats a stupid damn table!" Its so hard not to laugh but I was strong...as I hide behind my computer typing this... Oh my GOSH!

So the festivities started last Saturday for his Taekwondo birthday party with cousins and friends from school/playgroup too. It was wonderful and Ty had a blast. We walked in to the place completely decorated! His school went all out! Balloons, decorations...even a giant sword to cut the cake. The party was just an hour and half so we just had snacks and a cake... it ran over a little bit. Ty got to wear a black belt and he wore it with pride,... everyone broke boards and it was super cute. After we came home and had the family cookout. Tim's fam and mine and it was crazy right off the bat! Everyone must have been starving! haha I have not seen food go that fast in my life! haha After we headed to the Avenue to see Fiction 20 Down perform for the summer concert series... We had such a fantastic day! We had a great weekend!
Monday was Ty's official birthday! He woke up very disappointed! He thought for sure that he was going to grow and be as big as daddy so that he could use real tools. It was sweet.
We made it a fun FILLED family day! We headed out early to the Washington Zoo... then to the Hard Rock Cafe... it was sooo cute! Ty put Ty on a chair with a guitar around his neck and announced that it was his 4th birthday! Ty waved to everyone like a little rockstar. After we walked around the Inner Harbor and rode the Nessie paddle boats... we headed home... hung out with Lucy for a bit, then ran back out to go to ToysRus... Ty picked out a skateboard and pads... after we went to Kids Quarters and got the rails to turn the toddler bed into a full size bed. I cannot believe how fast Tyler is growing up. WAY tooo fast!
4, he is 4! Almost filled up one hand. He already cannot wait to be 5.

We have had a fun week, minus no air conditioning... it is broken and hopefully will be fixed soon. We bought a temporary one for the window in our bedroom and Ty has been camping out with us. Its been a little fun vacation for him.
Tuesday, I had a Dr. appt (Pink eye... lovely) and had to take off work, so I took Ty to my Mom's and they had a blast as usual... Wed, I do not remember what we did! haha I think we went food shopping, not to exciting. Thursday we went Duck Pin bowling with Stacey and Owen... Ty had fallen asleep close to 1 am (remember the whole camping vacation in our room... yeah) so he didn't wake up until close to 10:45... I had to wake him. haha we were meeting Stacey and Owen at 11:30... which had already been pushed back because he was still sleeping. When I woke him, he gave me the teen "just a couple more minutes Mom, please?"Owen in now 2 and 1/2 and is so grown up! He talks so well, plays so nice... It will be nice to see Ty and Owen grow up together. Cute little cousins. We went to lunch after. It was a really nice day!

I cannot believe how fast time really does fly. I LOVE being Ty's Mommy... It is such a precious gift to me. Nothing in the world can compare to the joy he brings me. I am truly blessed.

Pictures to come!!!Minnicks Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12247260330414412547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8775257.post-2614585431111698282009-03-29T18:17:00.002-04:002009-03-29T18:28:37.592-04:00Currently observing...I am currently observing Tyler playing on his computer. He has navigated to his own personal picture folder... they are of our trip to Disney World last December. He is looking through the pictures and remembering all the things we did. It really warms my heart, I gotta tell ya... and I am so amazed at how he is using this computer. Dude, you are 3. haha

Ty is doing a great job at Tae Kwon Do... He got another star and his red and blue stripe. He absolutely loves it.
He is going to be in a breaking board competition on April 25th at the White Dragon Festival at the school :)

Today we went to Ellie's birthday party... (Ty's cousin and my God child) She is 6 already... her brother will be 5 and Ty will be 4. I cannot believe how fast time flies. Happy Birthday Ellie! We went to Hot Pots and Ty painted a monster truck bank. Very cute.
It takes a week until we can get it I think... I will have to post a pictures. Very cute and fun party :)

Anyway, just loving my boy :)

Minnicks Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12247260330414412547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8775257.post-41264453942163134852009-03-23T13:00:00.002-04:002009-03-23T13:37:32.258-04:00Ty TyOK, so life gets crazy busy and it can be hard to keep up. I don't know how people with more than 1 handle it! haha
And Ty is a pretty good kid. I have been overwhelmed lately and feeling stressed... but he must sense it cause he is cracking me up today... He has ANOTHER cold, so he is staying home from school today.

Here is my handsome boy...

From Last Import

Today he asked for a snack... so I looked in the cabinet for the "Curious George" jellies... as we call them. I could not find them, but I looked and looked I finally did... he said to me... "You are such a silly woman"... WOMAN? Did he really call me "woman"...
Then a short while ago he hurt his foot... he didn't cry, but proclaimed "This is the worst day of my life... first I sneeze, then I hit my foot... now what?" so he leans on the couch and falls into it and says.. "sneeze, foot and now my belly...uuugh" I hope in all his life, those are the worst things that happen :) Of course I didn't mention, I had to kiss his hurt foot, which happened to be near his toes, and I was not getting the right place.. he was serious, until he started cracking up, realizing he was making me kiss his stinky foot... Nice Ty!
haha

Ty started Tae Kwon Do and LOVES it. HE is adorable and is doing well. His instructors are the best and really know how to teach and love these children. I really enjoy watching the class and and so proud. He is had a handful of classes, has broken a board, does poses and punches, and counts and says certain words in Korean. I am just loving it.

Yesterday we re-joined the Zoo... We used to go all the time and I just loved having that as an outing with Ty and the family. After that, we got something to eat and then watched Ty drive his RC Car and Tim fly his airplane... he is pretty skilled at it.

Taking after Mommy

Chillin at the Zoo

Here is the Ty on the bridge just before Daddy scared the heck out of him... Love it!

Ty has had a pretty fantastic year so far! He LOVES school! We have battled some sicknesses, all taking our turn. ;) Had a fantastic trip to Disney (working on that trip report now.. here is the link... pictures and all :) I am up to Day 5 http://dischristmas08.wordpress.com/

We just got another Wii again and Ty loves it. He picked up the bowling and baseball pretty fast. It is wild to see him turn into this little grown boy all of a sudden. How did that happen?! He is teaching me how to play. haha

Ty is into The Power Rangers... ever since he saw them in person in Disney World, he has been enamored with all things power rangers ever since. I have learned so much about this show that has been on since I was a kid. haha They have different shows and teams each year and he knows which ones are Mystic Force, or Space Patrol Delta... etc.. Oye! haha Its very cute. Especially with all the poses and "hi ya" sounds. haha I am happy he still fancies his Disney shows though...

Ty still loves music, loves the Jonas Brothers... cannot wait to take him to see them in the movies 3D. Yup, made me teary.
Then he came over, gave me a big sloppy snotty kiss on the cheek and said "Thank you Mommy!"

I am in love.

Yes, we are venturing back to the magical land for the Christmas celebration once again! I cannot wait, nor can Tim, and its a beautiful thing to see Tyler filled with the same love and joy for that place!
We get to visit Tim's brother and sis-in-law...Uncle Jerry and Aunt Judy :) in St. Augustine. Its so great that we get to see them every year.

Ty is suffering from a horrible cold once again. He had the croup 2 nights ago and now has the lingering horrible cold. He is the most pleasant little sick man :) God love him.

He is doing really well in school. He got to have the class bear for a week and we took it all around with us. He played guitar, rode bikes all that fun stuff with the bear. Tyler grew very fond of this little bear. He named it Cooley Bear. Of course. The little bear slept in his Thomas sofa next to his bed. He misses that little bear. So sweet. It was cute to watch him take care of it. He loves school, loves his teachers and they love him. He has a lot of friends, of course Chris and talks about Max...so I guess they are buds too.

Ty has an incredible sense of humor. He started making up his own jokes, while they may not make much sense, sometimes they are so random, they crack my stuff up.

Right now, we put the tree up...yeah, yeah, I know...its not even Thanksgiving yet, however, why not start the season early. It goes by to fast anyway! haha

Hope everyone is well! Hope to post some pictures soon!Minnicks Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12247260330414412547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8775257.post-23019377375111078132008-09-18T09:15:00.002-04:002008-09-18T09:19:29.492-04:00First Day of SchoolTy's first day of school was awesome. Candace and I both went and were very impressed. He interacted awesome with all the other kids, offered to share and help other people, and was very very polite to the teachers and paid 100% attention to everything they said. He created a nice "mat" to eat his snack on every day, read books, played on the playground and had a great time. Afterward we went to Chuck E. Cheese and followed that up with a trip to the toy store. He's really looking forward to the rest of the year and can't wait to go back.

Here's his first day outfit (he decided on the rockstar fingers on his own.)

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhycw9hiKX0vZswGTZRpCeRBD8lUWkxOb7OuBDqz2tOJn_Rj0V8djWx9Grx1cIOHkpK7UvE7yqxgxj4SJNcsx-Cmr5oaAtOgUvSoUbUiq3VqbG9agIHATRPKEsaYbofkbxKw_wqNQ/s320/tyrockstar.bmp" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5247350254947850514" />Minnicks Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12247260330414412547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8775257.post-49138913258431415312008-09-16T16:30:00.004-04:002008-09-16T16:57:40.994-04:00Time Flies....<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj5S3LEqf9Be_H04otG3JQLc4x-OLS1CdHIhRHrY9AsQkilk8gu2IZXbhOtJn9r6t6xfrAqigdD0hVEuOzldYFxOuOucMt9434dYdHtP18-DCXOh9k0n0wT2rSoY1rhI3W25I3y4A/s320/ACE_0274_2.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5246726260430002946" />
Well tomorrow is Ty's first day of preschool. We are so excited and sad at the same time. He's getting so big and is so so smart. Growing too fast almost. He's been out of diapers for about 2 months now and sleeps through the night without any accidents (knock on wood). He is amazing with music. He remembers entire songs, it just amazes us. We were on the way home from my dad's house on his birthday and Ty just started singing Iron Maiden's Run To The Hills out of the blue. He sang every single word (of course he made a few up because he didn't know exactly what they are singing) and even knows all of the pauses and when to stop and start singing again. It just amazes me. Being a guitarist in a band for 8-9 years, it comes natural to know when to pause and when to come back in and I followed along with him in my head and he had the transitions and pauses completely perfect. He does the same thing when he gets on stage and plays with his Uncle Jordo's band. At the end of the song he's playing, he'll strum the last chord on his little play guitar at exactly the same time Jordan does ending the song. He definitely has it in his blood. He LOVES (so do daddy and mommy) The Imagination Movers new show. They are now on Disney and have finally gotten the recognition they deserve. Daddy used to email with them back and forth back in the day when they had the development deal, to try and find out when they were either coming around or getting on TV. So it's good to finally see the show on TV and I must say, it's pretty awesome. So is the new CD. He's really good with it and balancing. It won't be long before he has something with a gas motor underneath it. :)

Daddy TMinnicks Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12247260330414412547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8775257.post-22409696685817466872008-09-02T14:20:00.004-04:002008-09-02T14:26:53.353-04:00Mommy's birthday week!<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgH98jbmtCLdUHRfMQr5NivcrmfPRGc0ksV9KsLHrg9fieOOEvT9Mv21jyo0bqgxd30g69TscEFMrUiXeegmUx0M8bf0EXuJX-96alddsNMZVjY-ZJ_cUUY4EzLZTiQDxHT-rFsdQ/s320/ACE_0136-1.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5241492227551462034" />

Well tomorrow is Candace's birthday. We just got back from the beach and we spent yesterday at the fair. Tomorrow is her actual birthday. Daddy is staying home from work to make her breakfast in bed and to take her out to lunch and/or dinner. We had a great time at the beach. Ty LOVED all the fast rides, including the Hurricane and the roller coasters. He was pretty bored with the little kid rides that go in circles. When he was on the rollercoaster with mommy he made a noise that was all rough and tough cause he wanted to go faster. It was SO cute. Mommy bought him this cute little rockstar necklace and he loves it and wears it all the time. We went to the waterpark while we were at the beach and Ty went down the big slide with mommy, and loved the little slide and the water. He also enjoyed getting near the waves and running away from them. Then he would bend over backwards telling the waves to kiss his butt. It was funny, especially cause after the water came up, he would splash in it and say kiss it, to the water. Funny.

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgCF5oVEkiyz81FXokzn6o1hRPg68701g-Hoy9ZbloMTOWymcV-JUK5xAcEh2GC3xneHY6_eiDV7g4DZEHBFqAFoe42TRlCSks5e6uxYRMCqOgbUV5X7Y2iuaEnxfcdDdZCFHzCHQ/s320/ACE_0376-1.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5241491773598239234" />

Happy Birthday mommy, it's been a great year!!! Daddy had his birthday week last week and we had a wonderful week!
Here is a recap!
Saturday, we were going to go to Rainforest Cafe, but my Mom stopped by and Tyler wanted to spend the night over her house with Poppy and Auntie too. So off they went and Tim and I kicked off the festive week. We went to Red Brick Station, had some crab dip and a couple beers...blueberry beer, yum. We saw a couple soldiers and talked to them, thanked them and bought them a round... of course I was teary. Incredible people. Then we walked to Kobe, had some sushi and another drink...and Tim got a special serenade from our server. Brian our sushi chef also joined in... you can see him in the background...

Then we thought about catching a movie, so on our way, we noticed a lady trying to fix a flat tire. Tim went over to help and ended up changing the tire.
We got to the movie and were just in time for Dark Knight, so we finally got to see a movie! We have not been together since before Ty was born. Can you believe that! haha
We left, stopped for another beer (water for me :) ) and headed home. We were so exhausted,
The next day we got TyTy, and Ty and I took Daddy to The Rainforest Cafe. We saw our friends Damon, Kelly and Avery. (I think they love RFC like we do cause it reminds us of Disney...haha) Of course we had to get the VOLCANO for Tim...everyone came and sang. Tim was surprised. Love the sparkler :)

Tuesday was Tim's actual birthday. Tyler and I made him a special cake with a motorcycle one it. We had ramps and all. haha
Tim had to work, so we went to his work and had lunch with him at Della Roses...Ty wore a shirt that said "My Dad Rocks" and was very proud of it... very cute.

Ty and I headed home, cleaned and decorated, made Tim his favorite meal and a special dessert (besides the cake) Creme Brule... his favorite. I got the recipe from Disney World.
When Tim got home, he went to see his Dad. (Tyler was sick with a mild temp when we got home from Tim's work, so we stayed behind.) When Tim got back, we had finished decorating and he was surprised. We gave him his presents and had dinner. The special dessert?
Tim LOVED it and I was happy and relieved. haha I have never made creme brule before.. but I rocked it. haha
I think Tim/Daddy had a fantastic week!
Happy Birthday and thank you for being the best daddy, hubby, best friend ever. You are our hero!
Tyler and MommyMinnicks Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12247260330414412547noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8775257.post-16261055911467056072008-08-14T09:27:00.002-04:002008-08-14T09:40:15.490-04:00Farm FairTyler, Auntie Alexis and I went to the farm fair a couple weeks ago. It was such a HOT day...haha but it was fun. We caught a shuttle bus from Fallston High School (where daddy went) and it took about 10 minutes. When we got there, we saw a row of bounce houses... Tyler had a blast! We saw so many animals... it was really fun to see Ty naming all of them. I remember the days of teaching him what animals were what..and whats a cow say? haha He is so grown up. Sniff Sniff. haha We saw the Snails and Tails exhibit... lots of snakes. Ty was very hesitant. I think snakes are so cool, but I could not get him to even pet one. He did hold an ugly little fat lizard and pet a giant millipede...that was disgusting. haha... Ty rode his first little pony. Too cute!
Gotta love the iphone...

After a while, some nice lady gave him a balloon animal that was huge. It was hot, he was tired and of course half of it pops. He was so sad. he said... "I guess I didn't really want to come to the farm fair after all" So dramatic. haha
We got home and he fell asleep on the way home. God love him.Minnicks Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12247260330414412547noreply@blogger.com
