Gimme a K! Gimme an I! Gimme a C! Gimme a K!...

What's that spell?

KICK! duh!

ha ha...

So this morning Can was laying in bed and I was brushing my teeth when I hear this "COME HERE! COME HERE!" So I come running into the bedroom and what do I see? The baby was kicking and moving and flipping and I could see it ALL!!! It was a very touching and amazing experience because even though we've heard the heartbeat and we have a sonogram, this just made it a little more real. Probably more than anything. It was awesome because it was so easy to see the baby moving. Wow. I'm gonna be a father. Wierd. I can't wait. Only 4 months to go.

Growing a baby (the inside scoop)

Ok, so I don't have the INSIDE inside scoop, but I know that my boy has been leaning on Can's left side and has been putting her in some serious pain. Poor girl, I wish there was something I could do. The doctor put her on bedrest yesterday. She was trying to move the baby out of its position so it would stop leaning on her left side, but I don't think she had any luck.

We ended the evening with listening to the little one's heartbeat. It was pretty loud, so he must have been near the top of her tummy. He was moving all around. The other night we were listening to the heartbeat and he kicked and you could hear the baby kicking on the doppler. It was an awesome experience.

119 days to go, 1 month until the 3rd trimester and 1 month 1 week til the 3D Ultrasound!!!!

Woot!

Hope you feel better Can!

Bonding with my boy...

The most amazing thing happened to me last night. I was playing the little one classical music from my ipod to my belly via headphones. Well normally he moves and dances all around...but last night he was too sleepy. Well...all of a sudden he started moving all around. I checked the ipod to see what song we were on so I could play it again...and it was me singing an acoustic song. It was the sweetest thing ever. He was dancing to me! How incredible is that. I cried and cried. I am in love with this little being. How blessed and lucky am I....

Holy Pele' Batman!

Last night I felt the baby kick for the first time. We were laying on the couch watching tv and Can said the baby was kicking. So I got up and talked to him and put my hand on her stomach and darn if he didn't give a big ole kick. Not those little flutters, but a big kick that I could finally feel. It made Candace jump!

It was so cool and a milestone, but I still can't wait to see him and hold him. Then the realization will set in.

Almost to the 23rd week!

Yup, I am just about 22 weeks down...18 weeks to go!
Our little boy Roo is moving around lots and lots...esp. when I lay down to rest. Tim talked to my belly on Heart day and our boy gave him a big kick. Not sure if his daddy felt it, but I sure did. It is amazing to be able to kinda communicate with a little baby growing inside. What a beautiful miracle.
So many of our friends are having little girls (Congrats) Melanie, Suzanne, Sharon, and Theresa! So far we have the only little boy. Babies are so sweet. I can't wait to meet them all! Don't know what Melissa L., Melissa G., Kelly (due soon!), Lisa (Ashes), and Nancy are having yet! I can't wait! What a fun little play group for our little ones, eh?!

Here is whats going one with the littel boy in the coming week (23)

Your Baby Week 23
"Your baby now weighs almost 1 lb (450g) and measures about 8 inches (20cm) from crown to rump.
(I heard almost the size of a Barbie Doll)
He is becoming plumper as her fat is being laid down at a high rate, but his skin is still wrinkled and reddish. The wrinkled and loose appearance of his skin is due to the faster production of his skin than the fat that fills it out. The reddish appearance of his skin is due to the deposition of pigment as his skin loses its translucent appearance.
Your baby can kick and punch vigorously by now, but he may also be gently feeling the umbilical cord and rubbing his hands and face against the inside membrane of the amniotic sac that holds him.
He is still swallowing amniotic fluid (which provides an important nutritional supplement to the nutrition he gets from you via the placenta) and is passing some of it as urine. (Aw...he tinkles) The swallowing of the amniotic fluid may cause your baby to get the hiccups and you may even be able to feel this as his body jumps inside yours.
The lanugo hair on your baby's body may turn darker at this time. "

Quite interesting and AMAZING!

Love to all...thanks for reading!

Ok....

So I've come to the conclusion that Candace is NOT going to eat dirt, no matter what brand I buy. But I'm ok with that, really. It's not like I can go to Chili's and get chips and quesadirtas.

Or...

Pasta al Dirte'.

But, on to other things...

Candace was right when she said that Babies R' Us is a HUGE and overwhelming store. We walked in and I felt completely lost. It was one of those times where you wish your mom was there so she could tell you what you are gonna need...ugghhh....

But we managed and picked out stuff for our registry and hopefully we'll have a really cool room for Tyler (thats his name at the moment, but don't count on that until he is here and its official! We still have 4 months! ha ha) when he is born. Of course I still want more safety stuff, but what can ya do?

I just picked up a Line6 Flextone III Plus from American Musical and I must say I dig the sound. I've been playing my guitar in the basement now for about 3 weeks straight, every single night. That says something, cause when I was in the band, I only played when we had practice. Its like I've found this new inspiration. I have the 4 track recorder down there and a stereo with CD player so I can play along to CDs and record new riffs and songs when the inspiration hits me. Which surprisingly, has been hitting me often. I don't think I've come up with a riff since Impress, but I'm a jammin' fool down there lately. I'm gonna make the stuff into songs and put some lyrics and stuff to it all and hopefully post it somewhere sometime in the near future.

...Can't wait for my Dave Navarro PRS....

Only 6 months to go...

:)

Happy Valentine's Day!

I think this is one of the best I've ever had in my entire life. I love you Candace!

The Babies R Us KINGDOM...We started our registry!

IT was soooooooooo overwhelming! Tim and I walked in and our eyes buldged. This place has EVERYTHING... We decided to walk around and take a look first. Tim with the 'consumers guide' manual and me with my jaw still dropped we started our venture. Now, you have to understand..I am the worst at making a decision...and now I have a WORLD of choices. Poor Tim. Rather humorous. heehee Well, once we got a look...we headed over to the registry table. The little lady looked as overwhelmed as we were. She said weekends were the worst. I think almost every pregger person we didn't know was in the building. She started our quick little orientation with a few other couples and gave us a little scanner gun. We headed off to the safety section. Of course with my dear husband, we spent a lot of time here ::wink:: Tim with his consumer guide, made sure that our house will be the safest environment for out little Roo. It was cute. We walked around, picked out a Pack and Play, highchair and stroller. I LOVE the little pattern...it is like a dark grey with light blue plaid. Awww. We picked out other stuff and we found the bedding, it has little airplanes on it. So cute. We have a sweet little wish list. The cool thing is everyone can see our little list on the internet and in Babies R Us and Toys R Us as well as Amazon.com...pretty cool!

So...I am in my 22nd week! 21 weeks and 2 days today! Tim is taking baby boy Roo and me to 'Disney on Ice' tonite for Valentine's Day!!!

Happy Heart Day a day early!!!

Just about 21 weeks down!!!

That means 19 weeks to go! We had another ultrasound today. Our boy showed off his "special purpose" once again. There is no mistakin now...we got ourselves a little fella. He was waving at us and blowing bubbles. He was sucking on his thumb for a second. PRECIOUS! It is so amazing how a real little life is growing in my belly. What a beautiful miracle. 1 month and 3 weeks until we get out 3D ultrasound. I can't imagine having a window like that to see our little miracle more clearly! Roo sure is a precious little boy.

So Timmy thinks I am gonna eat dirt...hardly! heehee I don't really have any cravings. I am scared that it is gonna hit me and I will be this out of control Momma Monster looking for something awful and gross to eat. NO WAY! I won't let it. I am too picky...that can never happen! The biggest craving I think so far was peaches. I think I am over that now.

So here is the update for what is going on with the baby next week :)

"Your Baby Week 22
Your baby measures about 7.6 inches (19cm) from crown to rump and weighs about 12.25 ounces (350g).
Eyebrows have developed.
His digestive system now functions in a rudimentary manner. Undigested amniotic fluid passes into his bowel which he will eventually excrete after birth. Your baby can suck and swallow and may even suck his thumb.
Your baby's senses are increasing, especially his sense of touch. He can feel his face and stroke his arms and legs. "

Love to Daddy!

"With the thoughts you'd be thinkin''...

K, so I get these emails that Can has setup to explain what is going on with the baby every week. It's so awesome to read this stuff. The little one has TASTE BUDS now! How cool is that!?

BUT....

This email also explains stuff that is going on with the mommy's body. It says that cravings can start about this time. And get THIS! It says some women crave SOIL!

SOIL!

WHAT WHAT WHAT!?!?!?!?!?

I told Can I am NOT going out and buying her a bag of expensive topsoil to munch on, if she wants to eat dirt she can eat the stuff that's in our backyard. I mean heck, isn't that the reason why we have a backyard, in case someone feels like eating the DIRT!?!??

???

T-Dad out (and really confused... but not buying dirt for dinner.)

All I can say is wow. The ultrasound today was SO overwhelming. I am SO looking forward to being the best father in the world. I don't know if its possible but I'm going to give it my best shot.

Now I have an excuse to start buying toys.....

Whattaya mean I shouldn't have spent $500 on that R/C truck???

Kidding...

Gimme an H. Gimme an E. Gimme an A...

What's that (start to) spell? HEADACHE! Ugghhh. My head is pounding. Just took 4 Ibuprofen. Hopefully that'll fix whatever is wrenched in my stupid head. Had a great party for Alexis last night. She turned 15. Watch out world this little girl is GROWING UP QUICK!!! I remember meeting her for the first time 9 years ago and she was 6 years old (maybe 7) and she was SCARED of me. I looked kinda scary though cause I had a beard and goofy moustache. Anyway, we went to the aquarium and I must say, I won her over by falling down the escalator in front of the entire aquarium. But hey, you gotta do what you gotta do.

Listened to the heartbeat with everyone last night. The little one was jus sitting there, heartbeat pounding away. It's such an awesome feeling, but it STILL hasn't sunk in yet.

Got the ultrasound Friday morning. Stay tuned for pictures.

Love you Can!
