Video games!

I cannot believe how much Ty loves video games... of course they are on a time limit... as I tell him his brain will turn to mush. If he gives me a hard time, I just walk over, put my hands on his head and give a little squeeze... and say "OH NO MUSH!!!" and he will turn it off right away. I know... maybe I am a horrible mom, but it cuts out a tantrum and his brain actually turning to mush from too many video games! haha

We have been doing little activities... like cooking, or working on his letters, painting. He loves doing all of that stuff, but his most favorite has been reading books. He LOVES to read books. Its precious. It warms me heart ;)

Today we are making jello jigglers for the first time ever. We have 2 hours left of fridge time, and he cannot WAIT! haha ITs too funny!

He also got his BLUE belt in Taekwondo! I am so so proud of my little gent!

My little Man

Sigh... I cannot believe it is August already. When grown ups would tell me, "Don't wish your life away? Time flies as you get older? They grow so fast!!!" They were not kidding. Here we are, double digits in August and gearing up for "back to school"... I just cannot believe it!
Ty has been doing well. We have had a could zoo trips, and he has become a little fish in the pool. We go to my parents house a lot and practice. He is quite the little guppie. So precious. We hope to hit the beach for a day or 2, but we are really getting excited about our trip to Disney again in 113 days! I am sure that will be here sooner that I can imagine! So close, yet so far away.

Ty is just this lovable, grown-up little man. We have our share of temper tantrums, but he is extremely lovable. Just a little cuddle monkey... while becoming so independent.

We finally had his 4 year old checkup. He LOVES Dr. Feldman. We LOVE Dr. Feldman. he just knows what to do... I know, I know... he is a Dr. but I completely trust him. Ty loves him too, they were joking and being silly. He talks to Tyler, not us... well, us, but Ty is the patient, and he feels so important. Its nice. He brought out the needles... uh -oh.. I was nervous, but he did one arm and told Ty to say Jimi Hendrix rocks.. Ty was stunned so Dr. F told him that he didn't say Jimi Hendrix rocks.. that takes the pain away... haha, so a couple minutes later, he was doing the other arm and Ty said real quick Jimi Hen rocks... we all laughed, it was cute. Ty didn't cry AT ALL! His feelings were hurt and turned to Tim and said, I am ready to go now. haha It was funny. He eventually forgave Dr. F... had his hearing and eyesight checked and all was good!
Ty weighs 39 pounds and was 41 inches tall.
I got a bit teary at that point as I flashed back to all his previous yearly weigh ins... I pretended I was sneezing and needed a tissue.
I am a wimp.

Anyway... just checkin in!!!
Hope all is well!

Ty... 4 already!

I cannot believe we have not blogged his sweet little birthday!
Before I start... Ty just hit his leg on the table and it made him mad... he said "thats a stupid damn table!" Its so hard not to laugh but I was strong...as I hide behind my computer typing this... Oh my GOSH!

So the festivities started last Saturday for his Taekwondo birthday party with cousins and friends from school/playgroup too. It was wonderful and Ty had a blast. We walked in to the place completely decorated! His school went all out! Balloons, decorations...even a giant sword to cut the cake. The party was just an hour and half so we just had snacks and a cake... it ran over a little bit. Ty got to wear a black belt and he wore it with pride,... everyone broke boards and it was super cute. After we came home and had the family cookout. Tim's fam and mine and it was crazy right off the bat! Everyone must have been starving! haha I have not seen food go that fast in my life! haha After we headed to the Avenue to see Fiction 20 Down perform for the summer concert series... We had such a fantastic day! We had a great weekend!
Monday was Ty's official birthday! He woke up very disappointed! He thought for sure that he was going to grow and be as big as daddy so that he could use real tools. It was sweet.
We made it a fun FILLED family day! We headed out early to the Washington Zoo... then to the Hard Rock Cafe... it was sooo cute! Ty put Ty on a chair with a guitar around his neck and announced that it was his 4th birthday! Ty waved to everyone like a little rockstar. After we walked around the Inner Harbor and rode the Nessie paddle boats... we headed home... hung out with Lucy for a bit, then ran back out to go to ToysRus... Ty picked out a skateboard and pads... after we went to Kids Quarters and got the rails to turn the toddler bed into a full size bed. I cannot believe how fast Tyler is growing up. WAY tooo fast!
4, he is 4! Almost filled up one hand. He already cannot wait to be 5.

We have had a fun week, minus no air conditioning... it is broken and hopefully will be fixed soon. We bought a temporary one for the window in our bedroom and Ty has been camping out with us. Its been a little fun vacation for him.
Tuesday, I had a Dr. appt (Pink eye... lovely) and had to take off work, so I took Ty to my Mom's and they had a blast as usual... Wed, I do not remember what we did! haha I think we went food shopping, not to exciting. Thursday we went Duck Pin bowling with Stacey and Owen... Ty had fallen asleep close to 1 am (remember the whole camping vacation in our room... yeah) so he didn't wake up until close to 10:45... I had to wake him. haha we were meeting Stacey and Owen at 11:30... which had already been pushed back because he was still sleeping. When I woke him, he gave me the teen "just a couple more minutes Mom, please?"Owen in now 2 and 1/2 and is so grown up! He talks so well, plays so nice... It will be nice to see Ty and Owen grow up together. Cute little cousins. We went to lunch after. It was a really nice day!

I cannot believe how fast time really does fly. I LOVE being Ty's Mommy... It is such a precious gift to me. Nothing in the world can compare to the joy he brings me. I am truly blessed.

Pictures to come!!!

Currently observing...

I am currently observing Tyler playing on his computer. He has navigated to his own personal picture folder... they are of our trip to Disney World last December. He is looking through the pictures and remembering all the things we did. It really warms my heart, I gotta tell ya... and I am so amazed at how he is using this computer. Dude, you are 3. haha

Ty is doing a great job at Tae Kwon Do... He got another star and his red and blue stripe. He absolutely loves it.
He is going to be in a breaking board competition on April 25th at the White Dragon Festival at the school :)

Today we went to Ellie's birthday party... (Ty's cousin and my God child) She is 6 already... her brother will be 5 and Ty will be 4. I cannot believe how fast time flies. Happy Birthday Ellie! We went to Hot Pots and Ty painted a monster truck bank. Very cute.
It takes a week until we can get it I think... I will have to post a pictures. Very cute and fun party :)

Anyway, just loving my boy :)

Ty Ty

OK, so life gets crazy busy and it can be hard to keep up. I don't know how people with more than 1 handle it! haha
And Ty is a pretty good kid. I have been overwhelmed lately and feeling stressed... but he must sense it cause he is cracking me up today... He has ANOTHER cold, so he is staying home from school today.

Here is my handsome boy...
From Last Import

Today he asked for a snack... so I looked in the cabinet for the "Curious George" jellies... as we call them. I could not find them, but I looked and looked I finally did... he said to me... "You are such a silly woman"... WOMAN? Did he really call me "woman"...
Then a short while ago he hurt his foot... he didn't cry, but proclaimed "This is the worst day of my life... first I sneeze, then I hit my foot... now what?" so he leans on the couch and falls into it and says.. "sneeze, foot and now my belly...uuugh" I hope in all his life, those are the worst things that happen :) Of course I didn't mention, I had to kiss his hurt foot, which happened to be near his toes, and I was not getting the right place.. he was serious, until he started cracking up, realizing he was making me kiss his stinky foot... Nice Ty!
haha

Ty started Tae Kwon Do and LOVES it. HE is adorable and is doing well. His instructors are the best and really know how to teach and love these children. I really enjoy watching the class and and so proud. He is had a handful of classes, has broken a board, does poses and punches, and counts and says certain words in Korean. I am just loving it.

Yesterday we re-joined the Zoo... We used to go all the time and I just loved having that as an outing with Ty and the family. After that, we got something to eat and then watched Ty drive his RC Car and Tim fly his airplane... he is pretty skilled at it.

Taking after Mommy

Chillin at the Zoo

Here is the Ty on the bridge just before Daddy scared the heck out of him... I will let Tim explain that one :) haha

We're BACK!

That picture is for Aunt Kathy, who so lovingly reads this, who is an artist and art teacher :) Thought you would like this Kath!
This was taken today, and he told me he made it for me cause I deserved it. Love it!

Ty has had a pretty fantastic year so far! He LOVES school! We have battled some sicknesses, all taking our turn. ;) Had a fantastic trip to Disney (working on that trip report now.. here is the link... pictures and all :) I am up to Day 5 http://dischristmas08.wordpress.com/

We just got another Wii again and Ty loves it. He picked up the bowling and baseball pretty fast. It is wild to see him turn into this little grown boy all of a sudden. How did that happen?! He is teaching me how to play. haha

Ty is into The Power Rangers... ever since he saw them in person in Disney World, he has been enamored with all things power rangers ever since. I have learned so much about this show that has been on since I was a kid. haha They have different shows and teams each year and he knows which ones are Mystic Force, or Space Patrol Delta... etc.. Oye! haha Its very cute. Especially with all the poses and "hi ya" sounds. haha I am happy he still fancies his Disney shows though...

Ty still loves music, loves the Jonas Brothers... cannot wait to take him to see them in the movies 3D. He will just love it.

I will check back sooner than later! Thanks for reading!
