86 days left...and counting down!

All is well in the land of a growing tummy. Whew! It is rather humorous. I got the waddle down and it feels like every day it gets bigger and bigger! His kicks are stronger too.

Sadly, my Pop-pop is not doing well, and he is making his next journey to be with God in heaven very soon. Everytime I am in his room, our boy just kicks and kicks. Tim's Mom, my Mom-mom, my Ducka (other grandmom) and all the angels are probably playing with our little son. I am sad my Poppers won't be able to meet him, but I have a feeling he will get to meet him before we do. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Congrats to Pat and Kelly, they had a baby boy last Friday! Luke Patrick!

This is whats going on with our boy this week :) YUPPERS...3rd trimester!
Your Baby Week 28
"Your baby weighs about 2.5 lbs (1100g) and is about 10 inches (25cm) from crown to rump and15 inches (36 cm) long from head to toe.
At this time, the baby has tastebuds which allow it to distinguish between sweet, sour and bitter tastes.
Brain tissue and brain development increases at this time as your baby grows the folds and grooves needed for a developed brain.
Eyebrows and eyelashes are probably present and the hair on your baby's head is growing longer.
Your baby's body is filling out, getting a bit fatter as fat deposition continues, but it is still somewhat red and wrinkled.
Your baby is big enough for his presentation to be determined. That is, your caregiver can probably tell how your baby is oriented in your uterus. He may be breech (bottom down) or head first. If your baby is in a breech position now, there is no need to worry as there is still plenty of room and time for your baby to change positions.
Your baby can feel pain and respond to it in the same way as a full term baby. "

3 days till the 3rd trimester starts!!!

All is well and good. We are all hanging in there. Started having the weird pregnancy dreams that you read about. Sometimes they are frightening. Some are beautiful...I like the ones where I am holding our boy and playing with him. I see his little hands gripping my finger a lot. I have not seen in face in my dreams. All I know is that I am in love with this little person. I can't imagine what it will feel like to hold him in my arms for the first time.

Thinking of our friends who are getting ready to deliver shortly! Pat and Kelly are due March 31st and Jon and Sharon are due April 9th or 10th! They are both is my happiest thoughts and prayers! Dal and Suzanne, Melissa and Michael are next up in May! Then....JUNE!!!!!

This is whats going on with Little Boy Roo...Week 27 (half way through!)
Your Baby This Week
Your baby weighs more than 2 lbs (1000g), measures 9.6 inches from crown to rump (24cm) and its total length is about 15.3 inches (34cm). If your baby were born now, he would have about an 85% chance of surviving. Nonetheless, your baby still needs another 13 weeks of in utero development to be considered full term.
Your baby's eyes, no longer fused shut, are now open.
Your baby's skin still has a very wrinkled appearance, but it is protected and nourished by the covering of vernix, a waxy coating that keeps the skin supple.
Your baby looks almost like a full term baby, but is still much thinner and smaller than he will be at birth.

Love to all! MWAH!

96 days left!!!

Well hello!
All is lovely in pregger land! heehee Our little angel is kicking me harder and harder every day. Sometimes I feel little kicks near my ribs...OUCH...but it still make me smile. Like Tim said, yesterday we were sitting in the waiting room and my boy moved my whole body! IT is so wild to know I have this little person growing inside me. LOVE IT!

Cand

Happy Birthday to Uncle Jordo!!! (my brother :) )

Hey Baby!

We were sitting in the radiologist' office yesterday waiting for my ct scan and the baby flipped around so hard it moved Can's whole body. He seems like he is gonna be a tough little guy. He was punching and kicking yesterday and you could just sit and watch it all happening. Very cool.

Well time to go find something to eat...

If you take the L out of Lally....You'll still be Lally to meeee....

Yeppers, today is St. Patty's Day! This is one of Can's all time FAVORITE holidays! Next year we'll have to definitely go out and celebrate with green beer, but this year we might play it low key and maybe just go out for a bite to eat or something. Haven't really decided yet.

Can has been doing a little better with food (sort of) although I feel bad cause she tosses and turns in bed and has trouble sleeping and is up every hour. Poor thing.

Ok, so lets jump ahead 3 months and have this baby born so we can actually hold it and have it stop pressing on Can's insides!!! hee hee...

I can't wait! We listened to the heartbeat again last night and the little one kicked and kicked and you could hear it on the doppler. Thats a cool experience!!!

Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone!

Happy Anniversary to US!

Yup...it is our Anniversary TODAY! This will be the last year as 'just us' and we have more love entering our lives in 101 days! We have had so many beautiful chapters in out lives and it is lovely to think it will only get better from here. Mwah! I Love you DADDY TIMMY!

I am 25 weeks and 4 days today! A week and a half left (10 days) until my third trimester!
Here is whats going on this week!

Your Baby Week 26
Your baby weighs just under 2 pounds (850g) and could possibly survive if delivered now. Your baby measures approximately 9.2 inches (23cm) from crown to rump.
He is growing fast and gaining weight now. His skin is less transparent and is becoming opaque as fat builds up.
Your baby's heart is beating 120 to 160 beats per minute, as you have already heard at several doctor or midwife visits.
Until now, your baby's eyes have been sealed shut, but he reopens them this week. The eyes are almost fully formed and the retinas contain all the layers they will have when your baby is born. Your baby's eyes are blue right now, no matter the ethnic origin or eye-color of you and your partner since eyes do not acquire their final color until months after birth.
Your baby is lean right now, but is getting fatter all the time as fat is being deposited. Your baby's skin is getting thicker and paler and is becoming less red and wrinkled as more fat is deposited.
Your baby has eyebrows, eyelashes and fingernails, though all are short and need to grow more.

sittin' in the basement...

Rockin' out with the pups and kitties. Candace is starting to feel better and better nausea wise, but she is getting more and more uncomfortable baby wise. I can't imagine what it would be like to carry a baby around in my tummy for 9 months. Wow. If I could take an ounce of the pain and put it on me, I would. She looks so beautiful. She glows.

We are going to see the Crue tomorrow night. It should be pretty rockin'. I need to find some earplugs....ha ha... The baby will rock out, I'm sure!

I've been recording some new riffs and stuff and I'm working on a song for the baby to put as background music for the DVD that we are getting at the 3D ultrasound. But for some reason my laptop ticks every 5 seconds and it comes thru on the recording....ugghhh...

16 weeks to go...

Well, we had a bit of a scare yesterday. I actually had a little false labor, but all is OK now. I have some antibiotics and it should make me all better. I was hooked up to a little fetal monitor and we heard the baby's little heartbeat and all his movements. His heart rate was around 150. Now I am fighting a wicked cold right now...so it is back to bed rest for me.

"Your Baby This Week (Week 25)
Your baby now weighs around 1.5 lbs (700g), and measures about 8.8 inches (22cm) from crown to rump, but this varies from baby to baby.
Your doctor should be able to hear your baby's heartbeat, using a stethoscope or Doppler ultrasound device. If your partner puts his ear right on your belly in the right position, he might even be able to hear it unaided if there is no background noise.
Your baby sleeps and wakes in a more regular pattern now. You may notice that your baby is particularly active when you are resting.
The center of your baby's bones are beginning to harden.
If your baby is a boy, the testes will start to descend into the scrotum now. If your baby is a girl, the vagina will begin to hollow out and mature now.
Your baby can make a fist now and may already have a preference for the right or left hand.
With modern medical technology, your baby would have a chance to survive if it were born now."

Growing, Growing, Growing...

WOW, how amazing it is to look down and see your belly move because there is a baby inside! It is an experience I can't really put into words. And now Tim got to see and feel the little kicks...so amazing. So as some of you all know...our Roo might be named Tyler Christopher...but I am not sure, cause what if he does not look like a Tyler...you know? BUT...everytime Tim talks to my belly, and he says Tyler...he gets a BIG KICK. He seems to respond to it...hmmm, so much to think about. heehee

My belly is growing...Almost overnight it happened. About a week and a half ago, we went to our friends Craig and Lisa's to play some poker :) Lisa said she thought my belly would be bigger. I thought so too, but this boy was hanging out in the low zone. I looked more like I was packing some pounds...heehee Then Monday I woke up with this belly! IT was so funny. Tim even noticed. It seems like each week it gets bigger. I can't imagine how much bigger I can get! I have 16 weeks of growing to do! You know that pregnancy is actually like 10 months!!!

Ahhh shopping for baby...I love looking at little baby clothes. I pick up an outfit here and there, and sometimes I go in Roo's lil closet and just look at all the clothes. Almost like I am dreaming. I wonder what he will look like, act like...what his little hugs will feel like. I am so in love. I can't wait to meet our boy.

Here is whats going on this week :)

Your Baby Week 24
"Your baby is now about 8.4 inches from crown to rump (21cm) and weighs about 1.2 pounds (530g).
Your baby's face and body now look more like a full-term baby. She now looks close to how she will look at birth.
The eyes, though they are still closed, are now close together on the front of the face and the ears are in their finished position. Eyelashes are fairly well-developed and hair is growing on your baby's head.
Your baby's movements are becoming more restricted now as she fills up the uterus more. Cartwheels and somersaults inside the amniotic sac are no longer possible, but she can still hold the umbilical cord and touch and feel around her. Though your baby is already living in tight quarters in the amniotic sac, she will soon have even less room to move around.
Her vital organs are now quite mature. However, since the lungs are not yet fully formed, your baby would have breathing problems if born prematurely at this stage.
Your baby is becoming increasingly conscious of the world outside and may feel startled when you are startled.
Your baby may alternate between having very active and very calm periods that you can feel.
Your baby may have facial expressions such as frowning, squinting and pursing of the lips. "

XOXOX to Daddy Tim...
Love to all!
