Well, we are in week 19 and little Roo and I are doing well. I am able to cook again and I have a little more energy than before. Back to my pre-natal yoga! heehee The baby has been moving around a lot more. It feels so awesome, I wish Tim could feel it. It feels so real now. Last night we listened to the heartbeat and Roo was sleeping. Then I had some pinapple and I few hours later I felt more movement...It was amazing, so Tim brought the doppler back over for me cause I can't believe that the baby is really moving around, and sure enough we caught the lil one around my belly button. Aw.... I can't wait! 152 days to go!
Little Roo this week...
"Your baby measures about 5.2 to 6 inches (13-15cm) from crown to rump and weighs about 7 ounces (200g).
The buds for the permanent teeth are forming behind those that have already developed for the first teeth.
Your baby's nervous system and brain development continue at a spectacular pace. By this week, your baby's motor neurons, which connect muscle to the brain, have grown into place so that your baby can consciously direct her movements. Millions of neurons inside your baby's brain are growing and forming connections and the nerves in her body are being covered in a fatty substance called myelin.
Your baby's ears are now placed on the sides of her head and her limbs are now in proportion. Your baby's tiny foot is just one inch long, but is in perfect proportion to the rest of her leg.
Your baby can hear your voice and recognize it."
How cool is that?!?!?!
Love,
Candace

The Minnesota...
twins...
I see what Candace sees in the sonogram, but I don't think it's another baby. Although you never know. Guess we'll find out for sure in 3 weeks. Can starts her 18th week today! WOOT WOOT! HOLLA!!! She is so adorable! She talks to the baby all the time and we are gonna get some classical music on her ipod to play for the baby if I can ever figure that thing out. I tried last night with no luck and much frustration. Ugghhh.. Whoever said ipods are easy to use was joking.
I still need to update the website and get it working properly... Soon, very soon. I promise! Along with some video that maybe I'll throw up there of our current little ones, the animals....

17 weeks TODAY!
I don't think its twins...Gosh, I am not crazy...I just see another face on the sonogram. You know sometimes when you look at the clouds you can make out pictures too. I think the face is a guardian angel. You never know though. I think I would be a heck of a lot bigger if there were twins. I think I would be completely SHOCKED if the sonogram showed 2 little ones...Don't think I could handle it. One will be hard enough. Sonogram is in 3 weeks.
I have completed 17 weeks...I am entering the 18th! WhooHoo!
Your Baby This Week (Week 18)
Your baby weighs about 5.25 ounces (150g) and now measures 5 to 5.6 inches (12.5 to 14cm) from crown to rump. He is practicing breathing by gulping amniotic fluid into its lungs. This helps the lung's development so they will function at birth. Your baby may also be sucking his thumb.
Meconium is present in your baby's bowels. There is hair present on your baby's scalp and sweat glands are developing.
Your baby is becoming more sensitive to the outside world and is moving around, kicking and punching. As there is still plenty of space in your uterus, your baby can move around a lot, sitting cross-legged, reclining or even turning somersaults!
He can probably hear by now as the ossicles (the bones that pass sound to the inner ear) have hardened and the portion of the brain that receives signals from the brain is under development. Your baby is getting used to the sound of your heartbeat and blood passing through the umbilical cord, but may be startled by loud noises. Your baby is aware of some things in the outside world, including sounds and light. If you let the sun shine on your belly, your baby may be able to perceive a warm red glow.

Tuesday, Tuesday...
We saw the dr. last night. The baby's heartbeat is 160bpm. The dr. found the heartbeat immediately. It was so cool. It wasn't like last time where the baby ran away and the dr. had to hunt for it. Nope. This time he put the want on her stomach and immediately we heard the little heart beating. It still hasn't sunk in yet that I'm gonna be a father though. Cand thinks its a girl. I still think its a boy. She also thinks we are having twins! It would be convenient, cause then we could be done with having baby's and raise the 2 we have. Not likely though. At least I don't think so.
We are renting a baby doppler for the next 5 months so we can hear the heartbeat any time we want. Although you are only supposed to do it once a week. Its exciting though! I'm gonna be a DAD!!!

Sunday Sunday....
we had a pretty decent weekend even though it rained a lot. Today was pretty cool, we went to a dinner party for Can's cousin who just graduated from college with honors. Pat came over and worked on the stairs of the new deck, and I just sat down to watch Desperate Housewives with Can that we taped on DVR. Man I LOVE our DVR! It is SO convenient. If you don't have one, I recomend them highly and I guarantee once you have one you won't be able to live without it. It's also great to have the new DVD recorder that we got for Christmas, now we can dump all the DVR recordings down to DVD. We can also dump video from our new camcorder that can's parents got us, onto DVD. AWESOME!
Ok, I know you came here to hear about baby stuff. Well, the DVD recorder, camcorder and DVR is actually gonna be used for baby stuff!!! We'll be able to dump video of the baby down to DVD to give to the family and Can has also taped a bunch of baby shows on the DVR that we are gonna dump to DVD. Stuff like "Pregnancy for Dummies" and the such.
Soooo....Can is feeling a little better I think. Although she still has her moments, the dr. gave her new medication and it seems to be helping a lot. It also seems to help when she eats often. I ordered a baby doppler on the internet today to rent for the next 5 months. That way we'll be able to hear the baby's heartbeat any time we feel like it! How cool is THAT!?!?!?!!
Ok, well I'm starting to not understand what's going on, on Desperate Housewives, so I gotta roll.....
Peace and baby slippers!!!!1

New outlook...
OK...so I am still sick...Dr. is trying a new medicine for me to help me digest food. I would take 3 bites and feel full up to my neck, then get real sick. NOT fun! I hit this very "feel sorry for Candace" phase...just emotional, teary, weary...in a state of dispair. So anyway, Megan sent me this Erma Bombeck poem and one part of it said this... "Instead of wishing away nine months of pregnancy, I'd have cherished every moment and realized that the wonderment growing inside me was the only chance in life to assist God in a miracle." I thought...WOW...what am I doing...this is WONDERFUL, I am blessed and so lucky to have this gift, this child, our child. It hit home. Then I got home and read this, "Making the decision to have a child is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body. ~Elizabeth Stone" Whew, don't think I have many tears left...So I remain more positive. It is a challenge, but a blessing. I am stronger and more loved already. I am two hearts, two souls, and I am ready for what each new day brings me. Love to all!
Mwah!

P.S. Last day of my 16th week!!! I am 15 wks 6 days today!!!

not sure....
...that I would call it grouchy. Just pregnant. My baby has been pretty irritable thats right, but heck, who wouldn't be with someone growing inside of you? I can't imagine having to carry a baby for 9 months. They sure are right when they say that if men had to carry the baby and deliver it that civilization would cease.
We went to dinner last night. It was WAY packed and by the time the food got to us, it wasn't that good and kinda cold. Award winning ribs? I asked Can what kind of award they could have won because they were cold and dry. ha ha. We had fun though. We played that trivia game and it was cool. I think I'll be broiling some steaks for Can tonight. Last night just didn't cut it. We need to go grocery shopping.....ugghhh... I hate grocery shopping. Almost as much as I hate Christmas shopping.
Well gotta go and load some SUN equipment in the car...

Happy Holidays...14 wks 3 days
I am sooo grouchy! Such an irritable day I guess. heehee Got a lot to do and don't feel like doing any of it! Bleck!
Christmas was nice. Over too quickly...Hopefully this pregnancy speeds up so I can meet this little monkey of ours. We got lots of nice things for the baby...ah, yes...I do believe this lil one will be spoiled rotten and I am gonna be the big bad Mommy. heehee My Mom gets that devilish look in her eye that she is gonna spoil this munchkin to pieces....that's OK...that's what Grandparents do, eh? I am a lil freightened because as I have been told...I was not the easiest baby. I never too naps... Hated pacifiers...would hide so that everyone thought I was lost (this is when I was too young to understand), Grew up with Mr. Yuk stickers everywhere...cause well, my parents had to call poison control a lot. So as you can see...scary!
Our baby this week...
"Your baby measures about 3.7 to 4.1 inches (about 9.3 to 10.3cm) from crown to rump and weighs about 1.75 ounces (50g).
Your baby's bones still consist of soft cartilage but they are now beginning to harden and the development of the bones and the marrow continues, with more being laid down. Her ears are developing into a more recognizable shape and any hair already on the head and brows will become thicker.
Your baby may already be sucking her thumb. Awwwww! Precious!
Her skin is thin and translucent and all her blood vessels can be seen through it.
Her hair continues to grow on her head and her eyebrows. If her hair will be dark, the follicles will start to generate pigment to color her hair.
Your baby is moving more now and is becoming increasingly flexible. She can bend her arms at the elbows and wrists and she can make tiny fists with her hands. "

Have a holly, jolly Christmas and in case you didn't hear...
...this is the last Christmas that we will be alone. I can't imagine what its going to be like next year. Obviously the baby probably won't know what's going on because it'll only be 6 months old, but times they are a changing...
Can's parents bought us a SWEEEEEEET digital video camera for Christmas so we'll be putting video up on the baby site in the next couple weeks. As soon as I get my hands on some video editing software.
Can hooked me up this year, I got tons of cool stuff. A nice watch, the incredibles XBOX game, a remote controlled helicopter thingie, a talking Yoda that is like an 8 ball game that predicts the future, a cool massaging ottoman, man so much stuff I can't remember it all, a pool table, a juggling set.
Merry Christmas and may you all be safe and happy.

All I can say is WOW....
Yeeeup! Wow. We got to hear our little baby's heartbeat yesterday. It was AMAZING. I still don't think it has sunk in completely yet though. Like its hard to fathom that there is a little timmaayyy growing inside of Candace. Of course there could be a little princess in there as well (instead of a Timmmaayyy!)
Either way, the doctor said everything looks good and she gave Candace some meds for her nausea. We got the prescription filled last night and paid our usual $15 for it, but when we looked at what it would have cost if we didn't have insurance, we FLIPPED! $988.99 for 8 days worth of medicine!!!! HOLY CRAPOLY!!!!! We were SHOCKED! Anyway, thank God it didn't cost US that much!!!
Many hugs to my (hopefully not for long) nauseous baby mama!!!

Tis the season to be merry...hey, that's MY name!
Yeeeup, so I spent the week looking for Christmas Vacation and couldn't find it in ANY movie store. Can is up in bed now, I'm sitting here surfing a bit and watching Howard Stern.
I bought her the most comfortablumfortableist present that she'll ever get and she is gonna LOVE it. I love it, I WANT IT! It is SO awesome.
We've been exchanging like 1 present every couple days. We can NEVER wait til Christmas. It's so funny. By the time we get to Dec 25th, we have nothing to give each other. But we give each other so much and love each other so much that when we wake up on Christmas morning, the only thing we need from each other is the look in our eyes that we are more in love now than ever and that the future is bright and beautiful.
I love my girl! Can't wait to give her a couple of the presents I got her. WOOT!

Awww...
OK, I am a sappy sap...that was sweet Tim posted that. Awww.
Well, I am currently in my 12th week...I am 11 wks, 3 days...It says 200 days left. Uuuuugh! I have not been well. I know that comes with the territory, but jeesh! I used to be nauseous all day...but a couple days ago I felt GREAT...THEN Sat. night it hit me again and I was throwing up...sick all day Sunday...Not fun. I am sure it is all worth it...I try to think that this is when the baby is probably growing the most! According to the books and websites the baby will grow an inch in ONE week! By the end of this week the baby will be a little longer than a credit card. Cute, huh...
We got a cute little picture. Had a mini-scare last week, but all turned out OK. The baby's heartrate was 163 bpm!!! The baby was jumping all around. You can see the little face. Precious little angel. I CAN'T WAIT to meet our little one.
Anyone all ready for the holidays!!! I am more ready than I have ever been...My friend Dawn said that I am probably hitting that mommy instinct and getting the nesting organization all in order. I would LOVE that cause anyone who knows me knows that I am not an organized girlie. heehee Fingers are crossed!!!
Much love to Timmy for being so patient and sweet to me. He really takes care of me as I suffer. Makes sure I eat and am comfortable...even if that means cranking the air conditioner. heehee
Hope all are well!!!

wow
Candace sent this to me. It is so incredible that I teared up when I read it. It meant so much and is so touching. I LOVE it. I'm a big dork, that's ok cause when you read it you'll tear up too!
Dear Daddy,
I do not have a face to see,
or put inside a frame.
I do not have soft cheeks to kiss,
I don't yet have a name.
You can't yet hold my tiny hands,
'nor whisper in my ear.
It's still too soon to sing a song,
or cuddle me so near.
But all will change come June 25th.
That's when they say I'm due.
I'm your new child;
I can't wait til I meet you.
All I ask between now and then
is your patience while I grow.
I promise I'll be worth the wait,
because of all the love we'll know.
So have a happy holiday,
a wish to you from me.
I cannot wait to be a part
of this wonderful family.
How awesome is that? I LOVE it!

Happy Thanksgiving!
Baby mama is in the kitchen making green bean casserole for tomorrow. I just got my butt handed to me in Monopoly. Candace is a greedy someone when it comes to that game! We had a fun night. Looking forward to turkey tomorrow and hanging with the family. Friday the deck gets worked on, close to completion.
I need to paint the room in the basement still and then it's linoleum and electricity. Been busting butt with Pat to get the deck done. It looks awesome. 12x33.

Much love and many hugs to my baby mama...

Wasssss uuuuppp???
Long time no blog. I've been sick and in pain. My stomach has been awful and I hurt my back taking lumber out back to build the deck. Ouch. I'm feeling a little better now though and thought I would blog.
Candace is feeling a little better. Not quite as sick anymore. That's a good thing. I'm still making her a bagel every morning before she gets out of bed so that she isn't sick when she gets up. That stinks. But hopefully we'll be out of this in a couple weeks when she hits the 2nd trimester.
Gotta get back to work, nothing much else to blog other than much love goes out to my baby mama!
Woot!

225 days to go...
Well...all is going well...just going sloooowwwllyy. I can't wait till this nausea goes away. It was real bad last week...now I have moment of feeling great....like waves. Soooo there is hope...and i know it is all worth it in the end. Mornings, Tim brings me a bagel before I get out of bed (yes, I am spoiled by my honey)...then right before I leave I get a preggy pop my cousin Erin sent me in a lovely basket filled with teas, motion sickness bracelet, lotions...loveliness. Get into my new Jetta...yup...spoiled I told ya...I have a 2 seater...not conducive to a prego belly and eventually the car seat. So we ventured to car max. We got a great deal...it is a cute car.
Trying a new trick...I have been putting dance music on and I shake my a$$ in my new car...soooo the baby can learn how to dance. See, when someone asks my little one when they learned to dance, they say, "since before I was born". Rhythm nation in my belly baby!!!
Daddy is outside now helping Pat build our deck. We were gonna watch a movie, but he is busy, busy! heehee
Alrighty...signing off. This little one is sleepy...they are making me sleepy. Off to bed :P

Who my baby daddy? You my baby daddy!!!
I LOVE that song! ha ha...
So Candace has been really really sick the past week. I feel so bad that I can't really do much other than getting her stuff that she craves to try and get her to eat SOMETHING.
I've been busting my butt around the house. It'll all be worth it though. It's already so much easier letting the dogs outside now that we have a fence. And as soon as we have a deck we'll be able to go out and enjoy it and let the dogs run around in the yard. I can't wait. Of course by the time its done it'll be too cold to go out on it....maybe.... :)
Remaining projects include painting and wainscoting the baby's room, installing a spotlight outside so Pat can work on the deck at night, making sure we put "galvenized" nails in the fencing or else I've gotta reshoot all the pickets. No biggie though and I'm pretty sure they were galvanized (i hope.)
I'm gonna be a father. Still hard to fathom. I can't wait, but at the same time, my life will be changing forever and I'm sorta scared. But I guess thats normal. Can's first Dr. appt is next Thursday. I can't wait...
T-Dad OUT and back to work...

So its been a lil tough...
Well...mommy-to-be over here is not feeling too well. I started off just being real sleepy...but now I am icky sick. Morning sickness has stretched into all the time sickness. So far, my dad's soup and drinking water are the only things I can keep down. It is plain awful, but in the long run worth it. I have been watching all of the babies specials on TLC and Discovery channels. Some stories have been frightening...the high risk labor...ahhh...but so beautiful. I cry after every one. I hope I am not one of those women that are a pain in the arse. Whine and complain and so forth. They reach such dispair but you still cringe at their behavior. I want to bring this child into the world with style and grace. Well as much style as you can get considering the lady-like position of giving birth.
Tim has been wonderful and so patient. He is so loving and sweet. His "nesting"instinct has started early. I am not kidding...so far he has built a room in the basement by himself, painted the garage floor, built a work bench in the garage for all his tools (including installing a light fixture), right now he is building a fence with our good friend Jim in the back yard, while our other good friend and fellow dad-to-be Pat is starting to build our deck. I KNOW...crazy time. Me, what am I doing whilist all of this adventure and hard work is going on? Well...I am sleeping, throwing up, trying to eat, sleeping, throwing up, watching a lot of TV. I sound like a lazy bum...growing a baby is hard work y'all...heehee let me tell ya... esp. when there is nothing that I crave but ice chips. I force myself to eat because the lil bean needs nutrition, but it is hard.
So I will fill you in with whats going on with our little one at the moment...
"Your baby's crown to rump measurement is about 0.56 to 0.8 inches (14 to 20mm).
Your baby's face has a recognizable shape with eyelids and the tip of a nose with formed nostrils, though his head is still very large compared to the rest of his body.
All major organs are now formed and in place, though they still need to mature.
A tongue has already formed. The ears are forming both internally and externally.
The arms and legs extend forward and shoulders, elbows, hips and knees are detectable. Knees and elbows have begun to form on the limbs. Tiny fingers and toes are starting to appear at the tips of your baby's developing limbs and the arms may be slightly flexed at the elbows and wrists. All major organs are in place.
Your baby is moving around a lot, moving his legs and flexing his spine, but you are unable to feel it at this point.
Your baby's genitals have begun development, though they are still difficult to identify. "
How fun...huh...Only 230 more days to go....
I better get back to my busy day...ta haahaaha

It's 11:39 pm, do you know where your kids are?
Mine are inside my baby mama's tummy still! Poor sweet Candace, morning sickness has kicked in full force and she has been yacking in the morning. Hopefully this won't last long. She's in her 7th week, we have SO many more to go, ughhh... Then, a beautiful bouncing baby! Of course its bouncing only if I drop it, which I'm afraid I'm gonna do because I'm so petrified. I'm gonna take a parenting class I think. Yeah, probably.
So anyway, you have to see this TOTALLY RAD workbench that I built in the garage this weekend. I'm extremely pleased with how it turned out. I am actually surprised that its level because usually I can' t cut 4 pieces of wood the same size if my life depended on it.
Next weekend begins the fence project. That should be interesting.
Can is sleeping, I think I'm on my way...
